A way you can tame a sarco is that you get a Griffen and sit in the air hover over them and pelt them with tranqs then once they knocked clear the area of any hostiles and then put some prime meat in there inv and make sure to have some narcotic on you just incase his torpor gets to low for your liking and then just sit there and wait for them to finish taming and then when they done taming just put them in a cryo pod and doom ur done. 👍

You cannot outswim a Sarco. Period.

HOWEVER, you don't need to outswim a Sarco.

They swim too fast and are almost never able to position themselves correctly for a bite. So when swimming, just swim near the belly of the Sarco to escape with your life.

Fun Fact: Piranhas are afraid of Sarcos! They won’t attempt to come near you most of the time if you have a Sarco by your side.

If you desire to find these big crocs go to the swamp or you can find them near shallow waters or on beaches

If you find a lvl 1-10 you can just close up fight them it’s quite easy

These dudes moves slowly when walking but is a beast when running and swimming, the only problem with these guys is they can't target and attack well enough small creatures like piranhas, titanboas, raptors, etc.

It's pretty easy to tame if you have a long range weapon that deal torpor, just remember to stand at a high place while knocking it out, and always check for any dino that might interfere with you. After knocking it out feed it raw fish meat or prime meat, then wait and you have yourself a sarco

I found one at a river area there were two before but three trikes killed one but the river area was pretty far from my base and I also died to a raptor that I wanted to tame but when I came back the raptor was gone sadly I had tranq arrows but didn't have crossbows bc I was still lv24 ;-;so I had to wait till I got the crossbow then it was shooting time for the sarco but I hope it doesn't die to the trikes that killed the other one

Sarcos spawn around my base (Stonehedge) so I tame or kill them

SUPER GOOD! Okay I just want to say, this thing definitely isn’t as good as a spino, but it’s really easy to tame, 3 or 4 shots with a tranq arrow and you have it. It goes SUPER fast underwater and pretty fast on land and it does a lot of damage! My level 13 killed megalodons EASY! I lost my stuff at the bottom of the ocean and the sarco literally got me all the way down to get it back and got me all the way up again. It’s so good and definitely worth taming!

So…one day I has y’know gettin water and stuff then this sarco comes outta no where and hits me and then perfect reaction times my dodo comes over and attacks it and I had my 2 paras on passive so they didn’t attack and I ran to my house and see a very injured para (chad jr) and a massive tail then I see at the bottom the most tragic thing “dodo lvl 25 died to a sarco” then the sarco exploded and died (not really just launched in the air) and my lil lvl 2 dodo avenged her mother and she killed the sarco I picked up my deceased dodo and throw her in the ocean outside my base then I gather what’s left of the sarco and we’ll I just feed my para WHOS ON 27 HP BY THE WAY and sadly check the other dodo and para and feed them I put my paras beside a mountain outside my base and my dodo behind a big rock and there you have it my tragic story of how my dodo died to this BEAST OF A CREATURE and to be honest I’m scared of these things ark just makes them so realistic! R.I.P to dodo

Just put a dodo on a rock in the middle of a lake, they stand there trying to get it for hours, it’s a good farming/harvesting idea and it’s really funny to watch

This damn boy is a machine in early game to mid might be hard to find a sarco with an ho under 1k if your a beginner but it is what it is if your lazy to make a trap get your tranqs ready go to a swamp and get it's attention shoot it and run shoot it and run it fells like your fighting Micheal Myers if he ever was a reptile keep going untill he's knocked out the sarco has a long cooldown to feed it again if your at the stage where you unlocked a sword go on a massacre killing diplo and other sarcos and paraar to get prime meat if your scared to go killing then from the start have a ton of narcotics with you when you tame a sarco put the skill points on stamina or health it's damage is already good but if you want go damage and HP if you get a pack of these bad boys your gonna start slaying megalodons easily (if you have a baryonx with you so he can stun)

Easiest and safest way to tame a sarco:

Tame a paracer(the weird giraffe things) and equip it with a platform saddle. Get everything you need to tame the sarco. I recommend finding the one you want to tame before you go in. Once you spot the sarco kill everything hostile in the area including kapros,titanaboas, and raptors, but NOT OTHER SARCOS. Once it’s safe turn your paracer around so that it’s facing back you way you came out of the swamp. Then dismount and run to the back of the platform to make sure the sarco is aggroed on you. Then remount the paracer and run out of the swamp. Once you’re think you’ve gone far enough turn the paracer so that the sarco is now charging towards its side. Run to the edge of the platform and shoot tranquilizers at it. The sarco is aggroed to you and not your paracer so there is no danger for your paracer. Since it’s turn radius is horrible it won’t be able to escape once it starts to torpor run. Now you can safely hop down and begin taming it.

It’s always good hunting etiquette, in my opinion, to take a Sarco with you whenever you have to go hunting in the swamps. These little dudes are great for fending off Kaprosuchus and Titanoboas!

Good for keeping piranhas from terrorising your local river

I would suggest taming an itchy first because you can attack sharks with them and they won’t harm you and you get lots of fish meat. You can tame a sarcophagus with normal meat but they prefer fish meat and will tame faster with fish meat.

Early game I had trouble with getting hide. But not after I tamed one of these guys.
