How to escape a Sarco:

1. If you see one, run. If you want to tame it, don’t ask me.

2. If it sees you, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT run into water, or die.

3. Go into a forest or far away from water and if it’s still following then run to a trike, carboneys (turtle dino with spiky shell and is very cute), or whatever else you find.

4. (If you’re a coward.) Get as far away as possible.

5. (If you are this brave.) Get a good distance away and watch the battle.

6. If it’s dead, scoop up all the loot and be on your way. If not, repeat from instruction 3.

7. Put your stuff in a storage box or something because sometimes there’s someone watching you…

To whoever is nervous about their sarco problem that posted on the sixth, raptors can kill these! As long as you have an about lvl 20ish raptor and the sarco is lower level, you’re all good!

PS if you name your raptor Aster Jr after my deceased sarco killer, I would be much obliged (respect for Aster!)

All you need to kill it is a primitive bow and lots of arrows if he gets close turn and run for a little bit and then start shooting him again . Make sure he isn’t close to water, cuz they are fast as fudge in water

Sarcos have trouble hitting small creatures (dodos lystros etc) so you can use a small creature to distract it while you (knock it out, kill it etc)

When riding on a boat keep an eye out for these guys because unlike most other water dwelling predators, sarcos can still see you and attack you on the raft. If it gets to you it will be hard to shake off the raft, it'll make the raft move buggily, and if you don't act quick it will ruin anything you're carrying on the boat, and can of course kill you, most likely leaving you're raft stranded. If you have a partner have them stab it to death, they are weaker than they look. If you're alone, try to get as close to shore as you can and fight it off there.

Help one of these spawned on the beach and now I'm stuck hiding on the bluff!! He looks stuck!! I don’t know if I should ignore try to tame or just try to kill. Very scary.

Tip : DO NOT bring these guys to waters with Cnidarias (jellyfish).

they will not survive because of their low HP pool (you can level up their health but it wont help much)

and always avoid waters with Cnidarias because their detection range is just broken.

by the way, this is how i lost my Sarco, Swampy Bob.

i also started a new save, deleted the previous one (i felt helpless) and tried to not repeat the same mistakes. (im still gonna tame a sarco in my new save)

Pro battle tips:

If you are a pro these beasts are easy to kill if you're a pro you can duel this beast using a pike or spear and arrows. I kill thousands of them. You might take some hits but with dodging the attacks the attacks are lesser.

Beginners battle tip:

If you're new to ark and encountered this beast you probably need to climb a really high rock and shoot it with arrows or slingshot. If they climb the rock run and find another. If you failed find one find a animal. When the sarco is distracted shoot it. Or just run away.

Just takes a 140 and I can’t do any damage with it in ascended. I might get lucky and a little bit of damage here and there but the attack on it is messed up. It is still super fast in the water though

If you want to kill a sarcosuchus, you need a dodo armee. Or a dinosaur armee. Just tame 10 dinos etc. That's the easiest way (I think so)

These guys can spawn near the beaches in south 2 on the island

If your still new to ark I wouldn’t suggest going near these puppies there absolute beasts

If you want to find one, go spawn in south 2 or go to the southern islets, they are like everywhere, I’m taming one right now, her name will be dismal ( like the Great Dismal Swamp) and she is brown on top and green on the bottom.

Step 1: if you see a Sacro nearby prepare any weapon that is melee Step 2: run up to it and make sure you stay on land NEVER DO IT IN THE WATER Step 3: allways move circles and stay the side of his torso and keep smacking it Step 4: if you keep going in circles and avoiding the front of its mouth you have more chance to survive AND beat it Step 5: let your pets eat his junk.

Sooooo, just saying, dont put it on aggressive. I accidentally did, and well rip Scar Scar. He fought well, against a couple manta and fought as hard as could against a megalodon.

They are really easy to kill early game for some good exp. First off, try to juke it until you can get to its side. Next get just in front of the back leg (or around the tail, but it is harder to hit.) finally, hit it till it drops. I recommend like 6 stone hatchets of it is a high level. I lost my sinomacrops, ship, and dignity to one. Then I killed it using this method. ( it was lvl 150 if you were wondering) HOPE THIS HELPS 😁

I have 3 Dilos and I killed 3 of these things
