First: run to the tale or hip of the beast, preferably with out it seeing you. It is a very slow turner so as long as you keep to its side it won’t kill you. Second: 1; if you are taming it hit it with a club, 2; if you are trying to kill it hit it with your best melee weapon. Third: repeat second step until the sarco is nocked out or dead. If you wanna tame I think the best thing is to use soothing balm and a few pieces of raw or prime meat. Ok now it’s time for a T.R.A.F. (Totally Random Ark Fact) If you have a pet you are not using for hunting set their aggressive to neutral. That way the only thing they attack are things that are attacking them or other pets. It’s great for egg farm animals and show pets so they have less chance of dying. If they stay on attack target they will not attack anything unless you are attacking it too. Get this on land, hit it’s tail. Keep doing that it’s turn rate is sooper slow and u will kill in no time. This works üp so noobs see

I've gone out looking for a lot of these and I haven't found one over lv135 not saying they're aren't any out there just that they are very rare if there are ones over 135

The best way to trap any Dino in the game is to build a trap. You will then want to lure it in. If you put a ladder on the back and a cat walk on top you will be able to shoot down on to it. Once that is done climb down into your put on kib and narcos build a chair and sit.once you have done tamed do not destroy your creation later in the game you will want more either for yourself or to trade/sell.

I was finding a male dire wolf for breeding and I was abused by sarco my club was broken and my equipment was in my argy but I tried to fight with it with my fist and I was shocked because I knocked it out with fist and then starve tame it. The player is king not the dinos

If you can knock it out early with a slingshot(shoot and run method)it is very useful and will protect you until you can get bigger carnivores

So my tip is to get a melee preferably a metal weapon and go to the tail walk in circles touching the tail and hit,hit,hit

Easy to kill on land however I was level 1 when I met my first sarco I just ran to find a beaver and got the last hit in

P.S. make sure the beaver is a high enough level or has friends nearby

Tip for mobile players: these guys spawn all over the west zone 2 area and are a pain to deal with early game. They’re very slow on land however, so you can kill them by just keeping your distance and shooting them with a bow until they die. They give a lot of xp compared to other creatures in the area so if you need xp in west zone 2 and have the guts for it, just kill a sarco or 2

When leveling up their stats, it's best to boost their stamina to a good amount (that way they'll be able to swim faster than other swamp creatures for a longer period) I also boost their movement speed too, and no its actually not a waste of points, it does add up by a good number. After it's at 200+ speed you'll be able to zoom right through the swamp!
