One time I found a level 140 sarco. With a little difficulty I knocked it out. Then a pegomastex came. He hit the sarco. The pego died to me. My sarco was down to %27 taming effectiveness. This was very disappointing because it would have turned out even better but I still can complain because it’s still a high level. Make sure to put spikes around the sarco so this doesn’t happen.

if any of your stuck in . simply go to ur base putting ur rame in passive. and then request tamed creature from ur profile . eazy .

Not that hard of a tame I used fish meat and a club but it was pretty scary because ethers was a wild thezenosaur near

Even if you tame it in one of those caves that you cant get it out of, just request it lol if you dont know how or what that does, you can find it on your profile thing in the game go to your stats and things where you lvl up and then press the tames button select the sarco or whatever you an,ed it tap request and wait about 30 to 45 and ot gets teleported right to you.

Do these guys eat normal meat after being tamed?

Just so you know, sarcos are stronger while they are wild. They are very fast and good tames if you like the water and want to not die. They are strong, lazy, fat crocodiles that try to protect you. If you see one on land, you don’t have to run from it. They are very slow on land and are nice to kapros but normally get killed by them. If this is useful, don’t let the devil chicken get it, please 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

These things are definitely beginner dinos. Don't be fooled by sentimental players. I have a level 253 and honestly its kinda useless. There are better dinos for everything the sarco can do on land and on water.

Firstly, its attack animation is simply one of the worst. Its aoe is very small like 30 degree in front. Ok top of that its attack speed is also very bad. Maybe 1 attack per 1.5 seconds or something. Even a raptor with 200% dmg will out damage my croc and its like 500% dmg.

Secondly, how is the kapro able to hold on to prey while a sarco isn't? The sarco has a lunge attack which basically does nothing than 1 dmg proc. And there is a barrel roll attack which can only grip tiny dinos like lystro or penguins again for 1 dmg proc.

Thirdly, its oxygen is shamefully low for an semi-aquatic tame. Enough said.

Some consolation points would be its attack in the water seems to double proc, like a dire bears attack. And its really fast in the water like real fast, fully submerged or other wise.

My conclusions,

They need to rework the sarco. Its a really weak mount. Improve its dmg aoe and oxygen stat. The roll attack should dmg proc for multiple times. The lunge should at least slow if not catch victims or stun, since there is the kapro and the baryonyx already. And it should be able to kill land dinos by drowning them with a buffed oxygen stat. This is the largest, prehistoric crocodilian and wildcard just missed the opportunity to have a fun and dangerous swamp dino for their game. Its so large and cool looking but from a gameplay perspective, its really not good. Get a baryonyx or even a beelzebuffo than this.

Honestly this guy is huge but such a pain in the a$$ to have to walk him home. My home is not far fromt the spawn point of my Sarco(Daniel) and when i went to tame holy it was a while almost like a year went by. But when it was finished it was worth it. Absolute beast with good health, insane stamina and regen through underwater and good attack. Solid tame for beginners. P.S do not go and fist the sarco unless you want to be snacked use tranqs to be safe. Love the community

Well !!!! Newbies don't worry about these creatures they are slow on land but fast in water . You can knock them out by bat but I won't suggest because their barrel roll gives heavy damage . If you want to escape it just run away from it bcz as I said above it is slow on land don't try to troll on of these because these can leap on you if you are in that range and next it will be better if you use narcotic arrows to make it unconscious to tame it

Oh a great encounter it was I saw him he saw me we were in a stare down and then he cheated and ate me.

The lesson I leaned that day was that sarcos are huge logs with legs and a huge mouth with lots of teeth oh and that you can’t trust wild sarcos that’s the main lesson.

Ok this thing can be an annoying pest to things around like tames and your home if your a beginner but most of all when your hunting for dodos or dilos this thing will kill you if your not prepared or if randomly spawns and you don’t know and if you die you will have to use the advantage of stealth to get your stuff back and this thing usually hunts for other things but just this thing this monster is super annoying when you start a new game. To pesky and annoying for beginners 1 star for this creature.

If you have one with decent melee and health these things are amazing even if they have low level health and melee they are good especially for travelling just go around with a couple of cryopodded rexes and pull them out if needed they are so fast in water

Despite their aggressiveness and hit damage they are actually really easy to kill/tame but ima talk more about killing becuse I haven’t actually tamed one yet (I could but I don’t have the time) Ok so you see a sarco near ur camp. Your alone, and a little bit to far for your pets/ teammates to hear or see you. You want to impress them so you engage the monster. First: run to the tale or hip of the beast, preferably with out it seeing you. It is a very slow turner so as long as you keep to its side it won’t kill you. Second: 1; if you are taming it hit it with a club, 2; if you are trying to kill it hit it with your best melee weapon. Third: repeat second step until the sarco is nocked out or dead. If you wanna tame I think the best thing is to use soothing balm and a few pieces of raw or prime meat. Ok now it’s time for a T.R.A.F. (Totally Random Ark Fact) If you have a pet you are not using for hunting set their aggressive to neutral. That way the only thing they attack are things that are attacking them or other pets. It’s great for egg farm animals and show pets so they have less chance of dying. If they stay on attack target they will not attack anything unless you are attacking it too.
