Tips & Strategies

What are tips for sarco? Tips and strategies for sarco in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
these guys are such gigachads.
to tame one place 3 wooden billboards in a "C" shape with a large bear trap in the middle. when you aggro the sarco, walk lead it into the trap (DO NOT GO INTO ANY WATER) and when the bear trap is activated place a fourth billboard behind the sarco. shoot with tranqs and if done quickly and while the bear trap is active the sarco should not be able to break out in time. if it does just walk backwards and shoot it.
these guys are excellent Underwater mounts and will be able to swim away incredibly fast. they can kill individual megalodons even at low levels. my guy steve is a Chad. the death roll attack is great on land as well.
downsides are their slow land movement speed and the fact that they eat a lot of raw fish meat. my boy steve is one of my favourite tames.
Tamed one of these buggers with a parasaur an ichthyornis and a slingshot
Sooooooooo 0P in the water 🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊 it could probably take on a rex 🦖 in the water
In water , It will swim around u like a flyer , on land it , it will just straight up attack u , so I recommend if it is only one sarco battle it in water .
Super ez to tame!😄 I recommend getting somewhere high or using a Beezlebuffo to jump ahead and shoot it with tranq arrows or toxiant arrows🐸. Once it’s knocked shove prime meat in its mouth 🍖 Then BOOM tamed Sarco 🤯
EATS SLOWER THEN Pterodactyl but earns a lot of Xp
When you see one on land TAME it. Useful when crossing waters fast swimmers. Just beware of jellies on your way. If seen on water, get the f- out of the water.
It’s says you need narcotics to tame with fish meat but I tamed one without using a single narcotic
(mobile) Sarcos do not do well as a battle mount in deep waters. Not just because of their narrow attack range, low dps and slow vertical swimming speed. They consume food like crazy. Ever saw tips telling you this creature or that uses extreme amounts of food? Like Giga or Daedon? Well, Sarco is one of them. Its food stat drains faster than it can automatically consume, which is fine if you're going for relatively short trips like pearl diving or angler hunting, but it is a problem if you're doing something time-consuming like leading a Leeds halfway around the map back to your base. Even on high levels (442 after tame for instance) your sarco will slowly starve even when there's still a stack of meat in its inventory. An Icthy works better as a travel mount while most other underwater creatures are better for combat. If you're looking for an underwater specialist, only choose the sarco if you don't have access to other creatures yet. (Or use a bary)
(Mobile) Early-Midgame tame, quickly becomes useless after you acquire a good x-bow and tranq arrows. Mediocre health, somewhat good damage but extremely low attack rate and dps, low vertical diving speed, large turning radius and weird attack range...only saving grace is that it's unmatched in rivers, and compared to other midgame tames, very easy to kite/trap and knockout. However, the sarco's got two glitches in its favor. Spyglass and invisiglitch. Thanks to its long attack animation and high damage, spyglass can increase its dps immensely. And sarcos can be found and tamed in the Clever cave, it shares the other cave creatures's invisible glitch. Combine the two and you have an untargetable killing machine. Still not as powerful as the lategame predators and quite useless on multiplayer but still impressive.
How do i hatch its egg?
I have a a fertilized egg but can't hatch it
I knocked one with a slingshot at lvl 6 :]
Tamed one of these with my friend and named him tank and when me and my buddy went into the swamp to tame a bary we ended finding tank and a kaprosuchus later named kate and tank and kate were awesome tank took down a bronto by himself with a little help from a pteranadon.
1. Get wyvern egg or tame quetzel
2. Get wyvern/quetzel over to a closed in area
3. Shoot with tranq or darts
4. Fish is recommended but meat can be eaten
5. happy taming
6. Up to let people now how to tame
If you recently just leveled up to the point where you can research its saddle, I highly recommend taming a sarco at a low level (LV70 or below if solo). They are very fast in water and if you are on mobile, they have three great abilities plus they can attack to the sides when you angle your camera that way. The only downside is the turn speed on land and slightly poor base stats when compared to Dinos.
