Tips & Strategies

What are tips for sarco? Tips and strategies for sarco in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I live on a raft, so these things worries me. First encounter with it on my raft was when me and my friend was sailing along the SW area in Crystal Isles looking for Silica, 2 of our Parasaurs on the raft got absolutely obliterated. At that point I realize why people enclose their raft, and make sure it's stone at least until the second floor of your raft, they can lunge, not as big of a lunge like kapros, but they can.
Knocked this sucker out and ended up staying by his side for two whole days straight.. ended up with a busted lip but bruises heal;)
So I tamed one I went in the ocean got attacked by jellyfish I died spawned and ran and my sarco... Came back up cuz he was on passive so he came up
Hit the sarco from its side and when it rotates towards you rotate with it as you hit it and repeat the process until it’s knocked out. I was playing on the island and was looking at names on the sarco then reopened the app and wanted to share my story
Saw one attack and kill a trike, shot the sarco with a crossbow, it launched into the air with the dead trike… one of the best corpse launches ever.
Utility Roles for Sarco:
Water Mount. I have a soft spot for the Sarco. As annoying as it can be to stumble across one as a Beach Bob, it was my first water mount. It is fast in the water, can dive pretty deep, and Piranhas will flee from it! (level Health, Melee damage, and Movement Speed)
Combatant. This one is obvious. The Sarco is formidable on land and in water, in part due to it's barrel roll attack. ( level Health and Melee damage)
Swamp Traveller. This is a bit of a neesh, and the Kapro outclasses it in this regard, but the swamps are a lot less scary with this by your side. It's high health does make Leeches less of a concern. (level Melee damage and Movement speed)
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like my tip, I've done similar on the Trike, Raptor, Para, Carbonemys, Lystro, and Moschops. Next one is on the Mesopithecus!
The sacro is fairly easy to tame if you maintain a good distance and have been leveling up your speed. I've tamed 5 in my world and haven't had them hit, keep running from them and shoot them with trancs from a distance. Once knocked out use prime Meat if you have it and make sure to have narcotics. He takes a large amount of time to tame.
As long as you manage to get on their backs and they don’t show off their gymnastics moves (barrel roll) you are good and keep stabbing it with your sword until it is dead. But I recommend having something to distract it too. My Parasaur (Yoo) and I were returning home from a failure trip trying to farm chitin for some armor. And we were passing by a swamp when I saw a lvl 40 sarco and I was like Huaaaaaaa, there is a noob here. And Yoo attacked it while the sarco was focused on killing Yoo I jumped on its back and managed to balance on it and killed it with my sword. Yoo didn’t die and I wasn’t even injured.
These creatures can be tamed with tranq arrows fairly easily, although it may hard to determine the level so I recommend getting extra tranq arrows. After taming the sarco is VERY USEFUL given the time you can tame them if you are experienced enough, they have good dps, go extra fast in water not to mention they don't have to resurface for air. Great for traveling long distances with good defensive options. The one condition is that in the water there are cniderias or jellyfish if you will. If they make contact with you or your dino they will stun them and deal damage overtime. I highly recommend getting a crossbow to be able to attack from a distance because melee won't work, killing them in advance is good because they can move towards you slowly. If you can work with those complications then this will be a beast of a tame.
These guys are 100% worth the tame, ez tame, trike kibble is easy to make, just use a pteranodon to get on a rock they can't reach, use a crossbow and tranq arrows and shove the kibble down it's snout, these boys are great taming mounts, as you can pull items on top of it, like the crossbow, and it takes the damage for you, so pump levels into health and melee, as you can easily regen stamina instantly by going into water.
Where to Find Sarcosuchus

I shall give you my knowledge of how I tame sarcos and some dinos First you must search for your target Second look at it from every angle to see what would either get you on their side or back or just land on top of them Third throw a bola or do something to keep them in place(if you want) Fourth(if you didn’t do step 3)do what I call the chasing my tail tatick which is just keeping away from the dinos jaws(this worked best on carnavors(that can’t pounce on you)and dinos that don’t run as soon as you hit them or get close or fly away
1.Find a sarco
2.Go to its tail and play ring around the Rosie and slap(you can use bare hands lol)its tail until it sleeps.
3.Feed it 40-30 fish meat(prime is optional)
4.You op water mount now nice.
