Just keep letting it wakeup and when it wakes up let it regain health and then knock it and remember don't feed it, soit will get hungry and when you give it food it will be tamed faster, do this to other knockout tames to make taming faster and so you don't need to restart if it wakes up

if youre taming these,never use prime meats. use allo kibble and soothing balm instead.

i see a lot of people complaining how long to tame these thing with prime meats,such waste.

If you sleep next to it, the torpor rises and it eats two kibble.

How to tame a high level Griffin:

1. Look for a low lvl female griffin (Like a lvl 5 or 10 or whatever)

2. Knock it out and tame with allo kibble or prime meat (Or whatever u prefer)

3. Repeat step 1 and 2 but then with a male (Oh and both ur griffins need the same surname!)

4. Buy a carnivore pheromone

5. Put the pheromone in ur female and breed them

6. Get the egg and make super griffin kibble

7. Look for a high lvl griffin, knock it out and tame it (Use a 10× soothing balm! I tamed a lvl 150 griffin with only one super kibble and a soothing balm!)

Just to clear some things about them:

You have to be respected to tame one of these, the methods of getting respect go as follow:

You have to be level at least 85 for the lower level ones to respect you

Or level at least 95 for all of them to respect you

Or the last two or three letters (depends on griffin) of your name has to match the griffins, but this only works if you are level 40 or higher for this to work, if you want to know a list of griffin name ending just search up “ark griffin suffixes” or something along the lines of that.

They take any meat (except fish I think) so you can use that but it is highly not recommended to do so since it can take a whole real life day. So they take Allosaurus kibble, or griffin kibble. So I recommend taming two low level griffins to get the griffin kibble since the allo kibble will take forever also.

Ok this is the last point I know it’s long, when breeding griffins they can only mate with griffins with the same name ending (same essentials as before) so keep that in mind, and the baby griffin will die if the mum or grandmother are not close.

Ok that’s the basics of the royal griffin, I know that was long, but have fun taming them

Basics: 3 ways to earn respect: Be lvl 85-95, wear golden crown(Need Primal Pass), or have the same pronouns as it at the end of your name (Examples: -mu, -lot, -an)

Once you have found a Griffin you want, build a row of 4 stone dinosaur gateways with reinforced gates. Lead the Griffin into the trap by using a tame(Preferably a flyer) and shut the gates. And with that, the Griffin is trapped.

My suggestions. Tame low level ones before a high level one(High levels take forever to tame, so you’ll want Griffin Egg Kibble instead of Allosaurus Egg Kibble.

Fun Facts: Griffins will only mate with other Griffins of the same family as them.

You can use weapons on the backs of Griffins, which can be useful for taming Quetzals

Looks like your going to have to farm the hunter cave. It’s basically impossible to do without soothing balm

been playing since 2019(I think) and only just taming one. I recommend using bio toxin instead of narcotics. Easier to get, especially since with God console you can just give yourself a ton.

How to get a high lvl griffin

Method one: Get 2 super low lvl griffins and breed them, then save up amber on daily prisuits to get snake plant seeds. Then you can make griffin kibble/super griffin kibble from the low lvl griffin eggs. Then tame a high lvl griffin with griffin kibble, also kibble and 10x/15x balm

Method two: cage a high lvl griffin, knock it out, let it starve, let it wake, let it heal, repeat until it’s food is super low, then tame it with a 10x/15x balm and allo kibble

Why are griffins with the surname ‘an’ so rare. I changed my name to aikan and now I have 0 amber. But griffins with the surname ‘ric’ are so common. Kind of wish I wrote ERIC and all griffins with ‘ric’ will respect me.✌️

Reccomend a trap, and not using normal narcs but bio toxin instead. Which makes the basil a must have tame. And use only tranq darts to the face. But with the new update instead of following you the bastards circle around you, and slap your arse. Also complete nutjobs. Be careful y’all.

Y’all if u need this guy the easiest way to tame them is kibble but that’s kinda hard sometimes so I used UNCOOKED prime meat and soothing balm :) also they (on mobile) only live in one mountain near the top/middle left side

Griffins take A LONG time to eat, so if you don't want to sit and wait, ( if you have god console ) boost the speed to 400x and it will be a super fast tame. And FYI god console is ONLY on mobile.

The ultimate Gide to taming and breeding Royal Griffins! (or RGs for short) fist off they are only in the old mobile version which is no longer available for download sorry 😞. They are only found on Fars peak and will attack any thing that they do not respect the way to earn its respect is for you to be a level 90, have a crown 👑, or for you to have the same surname as it and be a level 50. I actually have a secret taming spot at the bottom of Fars peak there is a natural rock formation that looks like the entrance of a cave Its next to the river at the bottom of the mountain. Put a chain bola shooter in it and surround the place with bear traps and make sure the area is clear (there is a pack of allos (maybe tame them for the taming food)and some raptors) while doing this make sure to check for the gigant that spawns there if he’s there might want to do this another day. The taming food is allo kibble or RG kibble with soothing balm not tameable any other way. Go over to the RG you want to tame and shoot it with 1 natartic (bring a lot of them and a crossbow or compound bow to shoot them) then RUN to your taming trap and make sure it’s following you and shoot it with a chain bola get off the turret and start shooting it to sleep 😴 when it breaks out of the bola it should fly into the “cave”and get stuck there so you can shoot to your hearts content when it is asleep give it the soothing balm and kibble and make sure to bring a lot of jellyfish guts to keep it asleep. It should sleep about 1 or 2 ark days and boom 💥 you got yourself a RG. Breeding them is a nightmare because not only do they have to have the same last 4 letters in their name to mate but the eggs take forever to hatch and have to be just above freezing 🥶. Raising them is kinda easy though but make sure to NOT KILL THE MOTHER!!! They cannot eat without them around also it will take about 72 hours to mature so check in regularly. Quick tip when you start on mobile have your name be one of the griffin names like I do. I use (name) lot bc some of the griffins I can tame

Set a trap for these,make them respect you by either having the same surname as them and more than lvl 40 or having a way higher lvl,set a trap for it use a soothing balm which can be obtained from caves or mega piranha hunt pursuit if your on mobile,if ur on single let it starve and then feed it LOTS OF allosaurus kibbles if it’s a high lvl one
