If your trying to tame griffin use a 10x or 15x balm beacause if y out don’t it will be impossible unless you check on the griffin every ten minutes

Do the hunter cave, get a soothing balm 10x, get LOADS of meat or x3 allo kibble knock a low level then boom your first griffin

For trapping just get a saber and put all levels in health to get it in the trap

You guys need 3 less allo kibble

When taming without a trap, try to Afro the griffin and make it follow you into that canyon area with the creek/river in it next to the mountain where the griffins spawn. Then de-Agro the griffin until you are ready to tame it, the griffin (unless it despawns,dies, or flys away) should be there till you need it. BTW, this is how I tamed my last two griffins

Fastest way is to use shocking tranq dart from the fabricator, needs at least 2 people to shoot the head until unconscious. Make sure you use soothing balm cuz it will take most of your day unless you have god mode. Load it full of biotoxin and as much raw prime meat as u can collect. Also use cooked prime meat, it will last longer. And griffins will choose that over normal raw meat. It takes a long time. But so worth it.

I learned a trick to take the waiting out of taming a royal griffin

1 knock out griffin

2 put food into its inventory

3 let it go up to at least 5%

4 take food out of inventory

5 get out of render distance and wait for it to wake up

6 knock it out again

7 put food in inventory

It should eat the food without wait time,just make sure u have enough food

Pain to tame you need a trap + Allo Kibble for a high level

Only 4% per kibble and the location is dangerous

Are you tired of running out of Tranqs/Darts? Are you absolutely fed up with these a**holes eating your Bio-toxin like it is pizza? Are you raging at the fact that allo kibble only gives 2 percent affinity and wasting amber all day and night to buy more mixes? Then follow this (mostly accurate) guide!

Step One: The first step is gathering resources! You will need around 20-240 Tranq arrows based on the quality of your weapon. It is NEVER recommended to tame a high (or even low) level griffin without AT LEAST a 10x soothing balm. It is going to take at least an entire week for the beach to tame. They can be acquired rather easily by tributing artifacts. The second-last step is to prepare the taming food, If you dont have access to a chef station and a significant amount of mixes, prime meat also works, although it will mess up the taming effectiveness slightly, and also spoils fast. The last step for preparation is to build an normal argy trap, which also works for the griffins, you dont want it to fly away with all of your tranq arrows, darts, weapon durability and a huge chunk of your sanity. It is best to make a trap out of stone, as high levels may destroy your trap and escape before it is down. After that, it is time to galvanise into action.

Step 2: Clearing the area and luring it into the trap.

You will need to clear the area with an argy or quetzel first, as there are carnos, allos and rexes all over the mountain, not to mention other griffins, make the area safe unless you want to lose your life.

Once you’ve done that, luring it into the trap has little difference between luring an argy into the trap, Do the same thing, thats all.

Step 3: The knockout.

Unlike many of the other high topor creatures, you can knock out griffins rather easily, as in, low levels, you will only need about 12-20 for them. High levels chow your sanity like chips.

STEP 4: FINAL BOSS.

The tame is hard, use the soothing balm, BUT EVEN with a soothing balm, some can still take more then 3 hours to tame, make more allo kibble or farm more prime meat, and most of all, feed it narcotics or biotoxin so the thing doesnt wake up.

And now, either you are living in external depression, mentally and physically unstable, smashing everything to pieces, or flying on a griffin!

I’m gonna tame one no mods or soothing balms with raw meat

1.knock out it

2.put 5 super griffin to make sure

3.put a 15 smotthing balm to faster

4.do this 3 step to tame a high level one

In order to tame you need it’s respect by either buying the gold crown, sharing the same last 2-3 letters of its name, or being lvl 85+

Wvery one say it's gard to tame Griffin I have a trick to tame him in just 1 or 2 second

1.we have to trap him in his trap

2.we have to place a sleeping bag inside of his bag and sleep

3. when we wakeup we have to knock him and feed him &

4.the Griffin will be tamed

Now the main thing is how he tame because when we trap him he try to break the trap but the trap is of stone so he can't break it and he lose his food and when we feed him he just eat faster and tamed in 1or 2 second faster without giving him 10× soothing balm

Y’all better thank me for giving y’all this tip, this is probably the easiest way you can tame one. Okay so first off this is only gonna work on single player mode and works better on mobile(because of ancient amber). What your gonna need is 2 thatch foundation, 2 beds, 50-100 bio toxins/narcotics, 10x or 15x soothing balm(15x soothing balm can be bought on mobile for 45 ancient amber) and 10-20 allo kibble depending on the griffin’s level(for example I tamed two griffins both level 27 with 7 allo kibble(each) using 15x soothing balm both within 10 mins). On single player mode you can obviously sleep making time pass by faster so before starting make sure you’re ready to sleep. Then what you’re gonna wanna do is pick a low level griffin of your choice (for starters and to test this method) and separate it from the other griffins and lead it somewhere safe(or inside a trap). Once you’re in a safe/low danger area you just knock it out with whatever you got. Once it’s knocked out, let it’s torpor drop around 400-800(WITHOUT putting any food let it starve). After it drops a bit add some narcotics or bio toxin to fill whatever was lost and while the torpor is rising the griffin will not lose torpor until it’s either max torpor or gains the amount of torpor you put into it. Place a bed next to your griffin and go to sleep(make sure you sleep at 8 pm/20 and sleep for 7 hours). After waking up your griffin is probably gonna lose about 250 food and feed it some bio toxins/narcotics again to max it’s torpor and then if it’s still a bit dark/really early morning go quick and place the other bed a LITTLE further and “fast” travel to the other bed that’s close by, if you’re wondering why it’s because when you fast travel it actually makes your player be able to sleep again even after your just woken up. So after that if it allows you to sleep again, sleep once more, by doing that it drops your griffins hunger even more making it consume the food a lot quicker which makes it be tamed in less than a min. If you done this the correct way then it shouldn’t take more than 15 if it’s under level 40. Then done! You got a griffin. Up if it worked out! -V

Starve taming with kibble and soothing balm is a must, for high level it is

U can tame them really fast by knocking them out but not putting food in their inventory so keep them asleep for a while without taming them and after like idk an hour put food in their inventory and they fast tame
