Stories Tips

What are some stories about the royal griffin? Memorable royal griffin stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
There are a few chapters that look like they're missing. They aren't, I found them.
They're buried under other tips. You can scroll until you find them, or (and I said this in my last tip but it hasn't posted yet) you can actually goog.le chapters for a story. Type in "dodo dex", the story's name, and what chapter you're looking for.
Snek taught me that.

A Griffin’s Dream
Prolouge
“Many years ago, your ancestors journeyed to two islands.” The elder said. “Which was the second island?” A young snow griffin chirruped.
“Is the second one dangerous?” A flame griffin squawked. “Not too dangerous, but there certaintly is-“ At that moment, the elder was stabbed in the neck by a human, bearing a long metal weapon. I, Luna was the young snow griffin. I tried to fly away, but I failed to save my brother, Cinder. He was shot down as we were flying towards the Arctic. My parents were also shot. I flew as fast and as hard as I could, only stopping to rest at a small burrow in the Arctic.
I have had many encounters with griffins. My first encounter was with a Folklore Variant griffin (Brown and White). I ran into it after taming a few dodos and it one shot me because then I was like level 8. (Now I’m level 67). Today I wanted to tame one griffin and I knocked it out, this time it was my favorite variant, the snow variant. Then, my dad called out from the kitchen and called me to help with dishes, I had no choice so I helped. While I was helping, the griffin woke up and I sheepishly told my tribe I wasted 32 tranq arrows. Luckily, they didn’t rlly care. So, now I have to get to level 80 so the griffins respect me
I have a friend named rehan and we both play ark. We are beginners and only started playing ark a few months ago. We were both lvl 46. We play on multiplayer and we both were going on pteranodons in the griffin mountain then Suddenly, a griffin named aphian came up and my friend told “wow, it respects me”(remember when I mentioned my friends name is rehan and the griffin’s surname is an, same surname and it respects!) I was so jealous because it didn’t respect me.
Of Kin
Act II: Blizzard
Chapter 9
Fryse guided the red argents down a path towards Whitesky Peak. "I apologize for how difficult this is, but Kald and I have been fighting for control of Blizzard's Kin our entire lives, and while I'd love to drop the matter and help you, my brother is much more stubborn about things. The second I let my guard down, he'll take it as a surrender."
"Remind me why we can't just fly?" Sundown grumbled.
"Kald will have argents patroling the sky near his mountain," Fryse called back. "Unless you want to fight your way there, I suggest you stay low to the ground."
Sundown scoffed, but didn't say anything else. Corvi turned to Fryse, "So, what caused you and your brother to split?"
Fryse sighed, "Actually, since we were young when our mother died, our uncle was supposed to take over the flock, but his mate died rex attack, and he left and took his eggs with him. I always thought-"
He was caught off by a screeching from the sky. Snow argents not of Fryse's flock dove towards them, talons outstretched. Corvi quickly looked around. Silvermane was safe in Riot's talons. There was a shriek to her left, and she turned to see Sundown being lifted into the sky by two of the attacking argents. She quickly took flight and dashed after them, managing to grab one of them by the neck. She stopped flapping, letting gravity pull her body to the ground and the enemy argent with her.
Sundown had broken free of the other argent's grasp and was easily winning the battle that followed. The argent in Corvi's grasp thrashed, quickly breaking free before they made contact with the ground. Without hesitation, he dashed at Corvi. She dived and used to added speed to chase down the argent, pinning him to the ground. She kept her grip on his neck loose enough that he wouldn't loose conciousness. "We aren't your enemies," she shouted over the sounds of battle.
His words came out as breathy whispers. "You claim you aren't enemies, yet you bring Fryse and his flock to towards our home."
"We came for help!"
"Help Fryse?" He let out a loud cackle. Corvi quickly cut off his apparent glee by tightening her grip on his neck. He slammed his wings on the ground, a plea for air. She loosened her grip. "Call of the attack!"
He glared at her.
"Call it off!" Corvi shouted. Argents were getting hurt now. "There are hatchlings here! If we came to fight, do you really think we would've brought hatchlings?"
The snow argent remained silent for a moment longer, then, let out a large screech. The fighting halted almost immediately. "Enough," he shouted, "They have come to speak, not fight."
Corvi released him. "Thank you," she said with a sigh of relief. The snow argent mumbled before lifting into the air and motioning for everyone to follow.

Of Kin
Act II: Blizzard
Chapter 8
They dived through the trees and swooped up to the peak of the mountain. The snowcaps of the mountain were covered in nests and argents. They all looked up at the newcomers. There was a large tree on the peak, the largest nest sitting on top of it. There was an argent standing under the tree, presumably the leader. Is the snow argents dived down and landed in front of him, the red argents doing the same. Corvi sat the silver hatcheling down lightly.
"Welcome, Scarlet's Kin," said the commander, a light gray argent. "My name is Fryse. I lead the argents of Winter's Mouth."
Riot gave a nod of respect, "I'm Riot, commander of Scarlet's Kin in place of Flink."
"Commander?" Fryse said thoughtfully.
Corvi couldn't help but notice Sundown lowering his head sadly. He and Flink did look similar, probably siblings. The conversation was interrupted by squawking in the tree. Three hatchlings poked their heads out of the nest and called down to Fryse.
Fryse shook his head with a sigh, "Sorry about this. We'll have to continue this later; food has been a little scarce, and my hatchlings have no problem letting me know their hungry. You're all welcome to stay the night."
The red argents huddled atop Winter's Mouth. Despite them being strangers Despite them being strangers, this half of Blizzard's Kin was very friendly, helping wherever they were needed and taking care of thr hatchlings like their own. The snow argents had brought down a wooly rhino and now all of the argents were eating.
Corvi's meal was interrupted by a soft squawking. She looked down. The silver hatchling was there begging for food. "What is your obsession with me?" she grumbled, flashing a serious but harmless glare. The hatchling smiled up at her. Corvi rolled her eyes before pushing the rest of her food towards the hatchling. He dug in happily.
"He hasn't been named yet," said Riot as he sat down next to her. "Ash never had the chance. Why don't you name him? He obviously likes you."
Corvi felt more than a little uneasy at the thought of naming the hatchling of a dead argent she never even knew. She looked down at the baby argent. He was completely silver, excluding his black beak and legs. Up until now, he had reminded Corvi of someone, but she only just now realized it was her father he looked like. "Silvermane," she said.
Riot nodded. "Fitting. How'd you come up with that?"
"It was my father's name. He died when I was young, about this hathcling's age."
Riot nodded quietly, not wanting to prod her any further.
That didn't bother Corvi at all.
[TRIVIA: For those of you unfamiliar with the map (this takes place on the Island btw, same as the other stories) Winter's Mouth is the rightmost mountain within the snow biome on the map.]

Is it only me or the people who dont have the primal pass and as soon as you knock the griffin out you feed kibble to it and nothing happens
Because nothing happens is because it doesnt respect you that is what i hate about taming a griffin because why cant we tame it without any problems because why do we have to spend money for a crown skin that were only gonna wear when we tame a griffin
Warning, Large blocks of text. There’s a TLDR at the bottom incase you need that. Enjoy!
So I recently got back into playing the game, and went onto the server I had the most progress in. The only two dinos of mine that lived were my giga, Ruby, & my Eery Spino, Peridot. I had a ton of Eery back then, as well as two griffins, so I was a bit bummed out. So, I decided to try and tame a new griffin.
This was such a pain.
I remade a rifle and some darts, got some narcotics, and flew off on a Argy named Blueberry. I then flew to Far’s Peak. From past experiences, I didn’t want to go there, but had no other choice since Griffins don’t spawn often anywhere else. So there I was at Far’s Peak, ready to tame a Griffin. First one I found, I knocked out somewhat easily. Pretty sure it was a level 5 or something, Can’t remember the name. Basically, I did some babysitting with it, until I realized something: I wasn’t going to have enough narcs. I had only used a 3x balm on it, plus allo kibble. So, I proceeded to go to the forest and farm some narcoberries. Now here’s my biggest mistake: I did this at sunset. As we all know, Nighttime in ark is horrendous, and it’s very hard to see. Went back to the mountain, couldn’t find it. I spent about 20 or so minutes looking for it. Eventually, I gave up and went to tame a new one. That’s where I made another mistake. Found a level 2 named Morthena I believe, which I knocked easily. But remember how I said I was low on narcs? Yeah, I still was. I only had 80 now. See, I ran out of darts and had to result to Tranq arrows, hence I had to craft some. You can then guess what all happened there.
But, Eventually, I was actually prepared. The Tribe Owner helped me out by farming some Bio toxin, while we also made much more darts and narcs. I also had a 10x balm now, so I was ready. It did take a while because I was using a Argy and no trap, but I knocked out a griffin level 2, named Mornissa. From there, Everything went well! So yeah, that’s the story of how I got Mornissa. Now, It’s the hunt to find a male with the same surname, aha...
TLDR; Failed at taking griffins because I was low on narcs, eventually named one named Mornissa, level 2.
I went to try to tame a Titanosaur. So I hopped on my Griffin, Pevgays, and tried to ko with a rocket launcher and tranq darts. Well, I landed a ways away from the bahemoth but the next thing I knew, Pevgays was killed. I was devistated because he held the saddle and the item cache was nowhere to be found. I went back to fars peak and found a handsome griffin named Thébo'i. I laughed and I knew that was perfect. Well as I was taming it and I still am, my argie I used to get to the mountain, just died without any cause. At least I got Thébo'i as my unconscious friend.
