When it says does not respect you it means it, I was just riding my new tamed giganotosaurus that spawned in that mountain where griffins spawn and making my way back to base, but just before I leave the mountain the giga ran out of stamina so I had to wait, and I happened to look up and theres a griffin flying above me and it just POOPS ON MY GIGA

You can gain the respect of a griffin at level 40 if you have the same surname as one. I don't have them all memorized but the surname I typically use is mu. If you put this at the end of your name you can gain the respect of a griffin at level 40 and tame one early game instead of late game being a very useful tame with their speed. Up so more people can see.

If they respect you there’s no reason to run, unless it does not...run where ever you can go. I have admin so I have no reason to worry since I maxed my level. Just be really careful near the griffins, they can be kinda dangerous to level uhhhh Idk just low levels. Far’s Peak is the only place on the map to find the griffins, don’t use a starter bow while taking it down. That could lead to death and all your stuff gone, make sure to bring a lot of raw prime meat if you don’t have kibble at all. Also watch out for raptors, Sabertooth tigers and much more while going to Far’s peak. Bring a flying dino and a lot of strong tranq arrows, park the flying dino somewhere safe and not too close to where you are and set the Dino’s attack to “neutral” so once you attack the griffin it does nothing, WARNING : don’t set to passive because your dino could be killed by the other Dino’s around.) also. Put it not so high on a rock but still high so if you need to escape you can. Btw thank u for reading

Griffins are pretty fun to fly around, personally it wasn’t hard to tame but they were low levels (27) so ima tell you about how they fly and since this is the mobile version of griffins I’m explain how to get the hang of it. As your sprint and face your griffin downwards, they do something called “dive” and you basically gain more speed and the more you look downwards the faster you go and if you do this and dive straight to the ground you cause area damage maybe around 60 damage. Another thing is if you dive but instead of hitting the ground and you look upwards and start flying normally you keep the speed for a little longer making your “sprinting” speed faster than usual, the boost in speed’s time limit depends on how long and how fast your were diving too. Also if you have anything in your players hand, for example a spyglass, it would not allow your griffin to dive, your players hands have to be empty in order to do it. A griffin also doesn’t require a saddle, like a dire wolf and a griffin is able to carry two passengers so if your flying around, high above the ground and you notice that you about to run out of stamina and don’t have time to go to the ground you can just switch sits and your griffin slowly regains it’s stamina. A griffin can fly the same way as a tapejara, they can fly from side to side and front and back, they don’t fly as good as a tapejara but still very similar. I would really recommend on getting he gold chain for your griffin to boost its stamina and speed helps out a lot. I also recommend on breeding and imprinting on a baby as quick as you can to get the best experience of fly around on a griffin, anyways that’s pretty much it that you need to know of flying a griffin I hope this helped out in anyway possible and wish you the best. -V

I just found out a trick to not wait for too long

First u trap the Griffin then hit it to lower it's hp upto half then sleep in front of it in hide sleeping bag for 4 hour then knock him unconscious u will see it has 0 food so all the kibble or food u give him he will eat it instantly

This way u can save a lot of narcotics and can tame even high level very quickly

Get to at least level 85 to earn the Royal Griffins respect. From there onwards get 10x soothing balm, 10 allo kibble and tame a LEVEL 1 FEMALE, the reason for this is so you can gather the griffin eggs and make the better version kibble and tame higher levels. I highly recommend a pacyrhino to use the calm feature because it drains the griffins stamina forcing it to land and also drains its food enabling the griffin to be tamed faster.

I hope this was helpful because these are a royal pain to tame.

I will never tame one of these. I mean to tame a level 1, you will need 439 cooked prime meat and it will take 19 and a half hours! You will also need 1310 biotoxin to keep it knocked out. And a level 150 will take 149,42 hours to tame if you're using cooked prime meat! Such a waste of time and resources.

Tame 2 low level first

then breed them

get the egg

make kibble

and go tame a higher level one :)

***How To Gain A Griffin's Respect?***

1_ have the same surname as the griffin. Example: If ur name is Yumir

and the griffin's name is Xyz-mir then u have the same surname

*tip* u need to be lvl 45+ with the same surname for it to respect you

2_ be level 95+ for EVERY griffin to respect you

3_Have Primal Pass and unlock Gold Crown

***How To Tame It?***

If you have done 1 of the steps in ***How To Gain A Griffin's Respect?*** and u got the griffin to respect u this is what you have to do

1_ knockout the griffin

2_ get a hide sleeping bag and sleep next to it that will bring its hunger to 0

3_feed it a 15x soothing balm

4_feed it its preferred allo egg kibble or raw prime meat

5_ wait till its tamed

6_ ride the bad boi and have fun flying ^_^

***How To Breed Griffins?***

so to breed griffins and get a fertillized griffin egg what you have to do is:

1_ get two griffins with the same surname with the opposite sex

2_ bring them somewhere safe and make sure theyre next to eachothers

3_ put them on wandering mode

4_ spam the whistle menu and stop all button

5_ keep doing No.4 till the egg comes out

6_ hatch which takes about 6 hours.
