Changed how to tame a Griffin for the first time because apparently my other one was asking for ups.

Items needed: A bed and a thatch foundation, 85+ level or the same last name as the Griffin, 100+ Allo kibble depending on the level. (This can be easily obtained by taking an easy female Diplo which is the allo's preffered kibble and going to the east of the island and taming a female allo despite the level.), A bit more than the amount of tranq darts Dododex suggests for your Griffin., HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of bio-toxin depending on the level, the torpor is going quicker than you think. It just has a lot of it, preferably a 10x soothing balm which is easily obtained by doing cave runs or the megaphirana quest, 4x stone dinosaur gateways and 2x reinforced dinosaur gates (This acts as the trap.), and last but not least, a high health flyer.

1. Find a low level Griffin (The lowest you can find for your difficulty) that respects you, this can be seen by viewing it with a spyglass and it should say 'Respects you.'.

2. Place down your trap, this should be 4 stone dinosaur gateways in an even line with small gaps that are big enough to shoot through and for your flyer to fly through, but not big enough for a Griffin to fly through. Then, place only ONE reinforced dinosaur gate at one far end of the trap.

3. Using the flyer, aggro your selected Griffin and lead it through the trap, getting out through the gaps once it's inside. After that you will need to VERY QUICKLY place down the last reinforced dinosaur gate at the other far end of the trap.

4. Now that you have your Griffin trapped, you should be able to start shooting it without a problem and without it running away.

5. Once it is unconscious, immediately use your soothing balm on it and make sure its torpor is FULL. Then place down your bed and go to sleep, once you wake up it should be fully starved, then start feeding it the allo kibble.

6. Once it is tamed, bring it back home and repeat the process with another low level Griffin of the opposite gender and same last name, as they are low levels, they should be WAY easier to tame than just 1 high level. After you've tamed both griffins, you may now breed them and get a significantly higher level. Good job.

(This can also be done with one higher level griffin, just without the other Griffin taming part. It works either way.)

Please know that if you’re trying to tame one and it won’t take the food. All I know is you need to be at least level 85+ and I think levels 1 to uhhh 5 from what someone said ( I can’t remember) are what you’re able to tame but you have to make sure it respects you first

On a griffin, You know how you dive down right? Keep you finger on your screen and don’t move it off while your diving down, even when you hit the ground don’t take it off, but you can when it’s slower now, what this does, it makes your griffin run really fast.

Whatever you do just don’t try to tame these guys without a 10x soothing balm and at least 6 allo kibble

From experience I am telling this . I tried to tame my first griffin today like 4 hours ago and and it was a lvl 20 I gave it prime meat without balm and thought well at least it will get 5% taming but nope what I saw was “unlock anything you can ever imagine” it was only 0.2 % for 1 prime meat

So I would suggest getting a 10x balm and 6 allo kibble to tame these

Three ways to get their respect

1: be lvl 85 (which is very obvious since they say it if you are not)

2: but the crown from the shop which can only be bought if you have primal pass and 145 amber

3: now this is a secret which I think 95% of the people does not know but if you have a similar name as the griffin then you will earn their respect

And DO NOT tame these without 100 bio and use allo kibble and a 10x balm which you can get by tribute group artifacts

Once you get this tamed, make a shit ton of tranq darts, a lot of meat, and bio-toxins; then go to the Ice reigion and find a Giga. Fly over it and start shooting your tranq darts at it and it will eventually be uncounsious.

A royal griffin will respect you if you have the same suffix, for example: an,ss,ir

This is probably the easiest way to earn a royal griffins respect early game making it much easier to tame one mid game, I say that this is probably the easiest way since the Golden crown is expensive and its annoying to level up.

I tamed one of 150 base level and it only came out level 175 even with 10x boost ! Tameing royal Griffin is very long and very hard tame it takes abut 800 narcotics and 60 darts 1 prime meat did 0.7% taming on it

This calculator and most of these tips are completely wrong.

1. You need allo kibble if you want bonus levels. Any other food will cause you to lose ALL bonus levels even with 15x balm.

2. You should have super fertilized allo eggs for super kibble for the best outcome. You get these from breeding allos while using carnivore pheromones.

3. It will take hours for a high level, even with 15x balm and kibble. Make sure you have time to stick it out.

4. Do not revive tame. A 145 griffin was 269 amber to revive (I was dumb. Don’t be like me.) You can only revive them at an obelisk.

5. Make a trap on the mountain. If you’re near the top, you should be safe from other spawns and things that could hit it while it’s knocked out.

Any other tips are trolls.

When taming Griffin ...please make a trap using Dino gates ..or good luck flying or running behind it..it's no use

This griff is a baby murder and a cannibal cuz it eat griff kibble egg and super too

The Royal Griffin is in far peck mountains there's like 5-6 Royal Griffin there I hope it help

HOW TO GET x10 SOOTHING BALM FOR FREE

Do cave runs for artifacts then tribute them to obilisk (you might want a flyer to get there) there’s a chance of getting soothing balm as a reward you’ll probably have to try a couple times to get soothing balm

You can do this as many times as you want and other than soothing balm you could get blueprints and tools

I’ve gotten acendent axe, pick, automatic rifle, and shotgun blueprints, 5 acendent fishing poles, and 4 x10 soothing balms

p.s. soothing balm makes you tame faster

So

Griffin kibble is 10 times heavier than normal kibbles,and they eat like over 10 or more so Allosaurus kibble to be tamed.

This thing not only being Nikocado Avocado level of hunger,but also the heaviest and most expensive kibble.

You can tame them before level 85 if you have the same surname as the griffin hence the use of name changing for example if the griffins surname is na then your surname is an then it will think you’re worthy in order for this to work you have to be level 40+ the second way for a griffin to respect you without being level 85+ is to be simply wearing a golden crown in game although it cost a lot of ancient amber it does not have a level requirement for this strategy! In mobile you have to wait 4 days on a pve server for them to mate again if you mate them. If you want to mate them, they have to have the same surname so be careful
