I am level 67 and was out by Fars Peak looking for ancient amber deposits. I find three of these and go up to them, see they have weird names, and they start attacking my tapejara! I was like, “ha Dododex, you said they don’t spawn on the island, there you go,” but then I was like after two seconds, “leave me alone, just go!” Tip, listen to the other comments to be lvl85 to make it respect you so it doesn’t chase your tame across the world.

I saw one on my argy and tamed it even though I was looking for a giga their really good then I tamed the level 150 giga

If you are attacked by a griffin with an argie, land and start attacking the griffin from the ground. The griffin won't be able to do very much damage to you and you can defeat the griffin pretty easily. Just watch out for raptors
