ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies

Overall, this is a good mount. i tamed one with my friend after i bought a gold crown. i bought the primal pass (which, i dont recommend because when your subscription runs out you cant use the crown until your level 85, resulting in you being unable to use the griffin as well.) to get early access and surprise my friends, tthough i ended up neding assistance. It took a lot of prime meat. I bought the x15 boost and it brought up the taming efficiency from 0.3% /prime to ~4.5% /prime. it took about.. maybe ~150 biotoxin if i had to guess.
After a lot of deaths from a giga, alpha rex, and being ganged up on by every swamp dino, we finally tamed a pretty level 5 griffin. Its most efficient to tame these with some of your tribemates helping! While i was off getting prime meat from paracers my friend kept an eye on the griffs torpor, got biotoxin, and lured away dangers. I helped with that where i could, too.
About this mount’s abilities, i think this might be the best flier ive used so far. The stamina is crap, but if you put all of your levels into it it helps. The griffin also has a neat diving ability, so if you fly up really high and then fly down you pick up a lot of speed and i think this makes up for the stamina. It also flies backwards and to the sides which is also useful.
Along the way to tame our griffin, Ioys, we died in the swamp and lost one of our beloved argies. #PrayForZabi our first argy of the server we miss you 🙏
More Royal Griffin Encountering Tips
You can only find royal griffins in ark mobile at Fars peak
DO NOT have any tames that you are not riding next to your trap…
My argy (31) got killed by level one griffin. Now I’m stuck on a mountaintop help! 1up for horizon argy “ rest in peace I will revive you in time“😢😢😢
I kill one with my pteranodon whenever it says "Don't respect you"
To the guy who kills the griffin every time he sees one that doesn’t respect him: WORD. Respect, dude.
These things will leave you alone IF:
You have the gold crown skin on
You are lvl 40+ and share the same surname (last three letters)
You are lvl 85+
Stay safe everybody
When it says does not respect you it means it, I was just riding my new tamed giganotosaurus that spawned in that mountain where griffins spawn and making my way back to base, but just before I leave the mountain the giga ran out of stamina so I had to wait, and I happened to look up and theres a griffin flying above me and it just POOPS ON MY GIGA
Does anyone know if they r in mobile cuz I can’t find one
If they respect you there’s no reason to run, unless it does not...run where ever you can go. I have admin so I have no reason to worry since I maxed my level. Just be really careful near the griffins, they can be kinda dangerous to level uhhhh Idk just low levels. Far’s Peak is the only place on the map to find the griffins, don’t use a starter bow while taking it down. That could lead to death and all your stuff gone, make sure to bring a lot of raw prime meat if you don’t have kibble at all. Also watch out for raptors, Sabertooth tigers and much more while going to Far’s peak. Bring a flying dino and a lot of strong tranq arrows, park the flying dino somewhere safe and not too close to where you are and set the Dino’s attack to “neutral” so once you attack the griffin it does nothing, WARNING : don’t set to passive because your dino could be killed by the other Dino’s around.) also. Put it not so high on a rock but still high so if you need to escape you can. Btw thank u for reading
They dont respect me.... My quetzal can take care of that.
Not a single drop of noble blood in their veins...just as there's not a single strip of prime meat in their arrogant bodies. They claim to be royals, yet they rule over nothing. They rage upon almost all other creatures that approach them, yet often die by their claws. Such is their pettiness that the overseer themself condemned them to yield no reward nor even experience when they've been bested.
Their only redemption is found through forced subjugation, at arrowtip, at dartpoint, by an experienced hand. And yet they resist, foolishly, mindlessly, they resist. Until one, through grit, ingenuity, or wealth, prove themself to be unmistakably superior. Even then, they stall, and they simmer, wallowing in their laughable pride. They are but a sick wretch pretending to be a king, a pitiful incompetence, a ludicrous mockery, a bad joke. And the cruelest joke of all? They feast well on their own young, more than anything else in the world.
Tame one, if you must. Bring it down, break its will, and keep a leash around its neck for the rest of its life. Send the rest to hell, where they belong.
