It may not make a difference...but to whom it may concern; you dont have to put the honey in your last slot...it can be in any slot. This might help those, who like me, have a broken right d-pad (xbox).

They’re comparatively easy to tame, all you need is ten honey for a low to mid level one. ‘Honey’ is not as daunting to acquire as it’s often made out, you can simply walk up to a nest (which are often located on the ground in Aberration) and take 5 honey directly from the nest, the negative side is you will be attacked by bees and will almost certainly die (if they can kill a Tek survivor then they can kill you) your only saving Grace with this ‘wild’ beekeeping is that you can use Ghillie armour and a dire bear (that’s what the Tek player failed to do). Once you get the honey all you need to do is throw the honey at the role rat hole etc.

Best to incase them in billboards and kill everything around it as they like to wander and other herbivores like to snatch the honey you drop

Great auto harvesters for berries. Set to wander in an enclosed area with berry nodes and pump weight since adults stop auto collecting at 50% capacity. Take the berries/seeds you want then drop the rest and let it go gather a fresh set. Fyi also works when left parked on berry nodes. So long as the area they are left in can be un/re rendered easily to allow nodes to respawn

When a baby roll rat pops out, leave it on wondering because it will gather berries, feeding itself. As long as there are bushes it can access, and it can't escape its enclosure, it will raise itself making it one of the easiest tames to raise. All you have to do is imprint!

Piles of loose gems are like wyvern eggs to them, if you take any, instant aggro

In ASA they can have wild baby’s following them, these wild baby’s can also burrow underground and dig up gems. The parent will still aggro though if you pick them up

These are excellent at gathering Fungal wood even though it is not listed

What I’ve seen is when it’s burried you need to DROP the honey bring a lot for high levels

Tame a few in your tribe. Set up a race track with lots of ramps, have fun :)

Make a 1,1 to 3,3 stone dino gate sqare for each roll rat . Get a karkinos and put 1 or 2 in each pen and when you need gems just jump into the pen with the karkinos hold the roll rat/roll rats for around 1 minute to be sure let them go and they will borrow immediatly then wait for them to surface grab them again . You will have aprox 20 seconds to grab the gems before they disapeer so grab them . Now let the roll rats go and to reapeat this step you must run a certain distance way from the roll rats to stop them from aggroing .

For ps4 to throw honey put it in your last spot in your hot bar and press L1 L2 and control pad right arrow and you throw it right when it goes into its hole however if it burrows down without you throwing any honey the tameing will go down

When the burrow throw honey on the hole and they will start to tame.

Follow them untill they dig up gems steal them and run forest run!

This should honestly be top wood gather as it reduces wood weight significantly.Beaver pales in comparison

as it rolls it accelerates , so over time it gradually gets faster and roll collision damage gradually increases over time.

Wild Roll Rats occasionally dig up gems, but will murder you ruthlessly if you take their gems.
