have playing ARK since shortly after it’s initial EA release in June of 2015. Ever since the first Explorer Notes were released I’ve been fascinated by the story and background of the game. I’ve watched countless videos, listened to commentaries, read comments, theories, etc… And very few people really seem to have a cohesive image of what’s going on and why, or even a general timeline of events.

Frankly, I doubt that we have been given enough information for any one person to be 100% correct about everything, but I’m going to write down what I believe is a pretty solid account and I will be using Explorer Notes and maybe Dossiers (if applicable) as references, just so I can prove what I’m saying.

So yeah, let’s get started:

The Inciting Incident

Can Rockwell just kill anything?

Use a high level drake with lots of stam, (dont waste your time leveling up damage on your drake, it will be used for running) an ascendant shotgun with lots of shells, extra hazmat, and a buttload of Megalosaurus for actually fighting him. (The shotgun and drake are for fighting the tentacles)

How the frick did he hack the genisis simulation how'd he even get out of his battle arena to hack the genisis simulation I thought he couldn't hack because of his tenticals and he has no arms pls tell me how he did it.

Considering he’s a boss, there’s not much utility to him, other than getting bonus levels from Aberrant Ascensions.

Though if you think about it, Rockwell (before at least) had a ton of utility. He made all of the cooking recipes (as suggested by the Rockwell notes that are somehow everywhere), and it’s heavily implied that he made a good portion of the technology available to you in Aberration.

Still, what a sad and twisted way to go for probably my favourite character in all of ARK: Survival Evolved’s storyline.

Can be defeated on foot. You need a pump shotgun with 230% damage roughly, 400-500 bullets and most importantly cactus broth to make sure no wild creatures attack you

I had been playing aberration for about two months. After plenty of grinding, I foolishly thought “Oh hey, I have some really high level dinos, and I bet i’m probably strong enough to defeat Rockwell!” I was wrong. I was so very wrong. I brought my level 124 reaper king, Venom, my level 132 rock drake, Drake, two other slightly other lower level rock drakes, Rocky and Deborah, and my two basilisks, Nesse and Toxin. I made it all the way to the terminal (with no deaths). I had brought some very high level armor (mastercraft and ascendant) and I decided to go with gamma just to test how hard Rockwell was. When I entered the arena I switched from my hazard suit to my good armor and hoped on Venom (my reaper). I realized something was off. Rockwell had spawned in with four sets of tentacles merged together in each pillar of tentacles. This meant that there was 4 times the number of attacks, 4 times the number of weird death orbs, and absolutely no chance for my dinos. Nesse and Toxin got smashed into the ground by a tentacle and died immediately. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the arena was already swarming with reaper kings and nameless. Don’t those usually only come after the second time Rockwell goes down? So my two lower level drakes got surrounded and absolutely murdered by reaper kings. At this point it was only me, Venom, and Drake. Drake valiantly stood my side and held off as much reaper kings as he could until his last breath while me and Venom were trying to take out as many tentacles as we could. There was no hope. Two reaper kings attacked me from the front and blocked Venom from moving. The volley of around 40 death orbs that I had been running away from the entire time caught up with me and one shotted Venom. I was thrown onto the ground and the last thing I saw before being ended was 4 glitched merged tentacles approaching my face. RIP Venom, Drake, Rocky, Deborah, Toxin and Nesse 😭 😭

Hello friends do you think I can kill Rockwell prime with reaper with 10k damage and 25k health magmasaur with 200k and I dont know the damage my drake 30k hp and 6k damage and my shadowmane with 80k hp and a lot of damage press da good button if you think I can do this also I’m going to have a few pump action shotguns and miniguns

To be honest I believe that the reason Rockwell injected element into himself was because he was scared and paranoid that other scientists like Helena and wanted to prove himself better it's kinda sad either way

...Silly Survivor
