You’ll need 4 hazmat suits, 2-3 aberrant spinos (with around 20k health and 1000%+ melee), and 1-2 ravagers with over 10k health (carry them in a cryo until needed), a crossbow and around 20 zipline anchors.

Once in the nesting site, kill every drake you see then position the spinos below they egg you wish to steal, shoot a zipline into the back or top wall of the nest’s ledge and use the ravager to reach it. Once there grab the egg and quickly before the drakes arrive get back to your spinos to fight them. Rinse and repeat until satisfied, cryo spinos and use the ravager and zip lines to escape. This method works best with 2 or more people.

Step three:kill nameless to get nameless venom

Step four:run again

For taming these you need to steal an egg like you would with a wyvern. Look for strategies under wyvern. But be careful of everything else in the Cavern

I just had an idea! Never tried it, so please only try this if you have an insanely fast flyer or are willing to take risks.

To get a drake egg without dying (probably) you will need:

One oviraptor

One flying creature that can pick up oviraptor

Ghillie suit and/or just plain stealth

Now, land. Put yur oviraptor by the egg and mount yur flyer. Jump into the air, wait for ovi to grab egg and— bam! Pick up ovi and fly away! This might not work— I haven’t tried.

Whoever said that rockdrakes are the floating islands I checked the more section and it didn't say they were and I'm checking right now on my game.

If you’re on a cluster server I highly recommend bringing a high level Griffin to get the eggs. You can swoop down, grab an egg, and yeet out of there quickly. The drakes can jump but they can’t fly, so you’ll be untouchable.

For rock drake trench I haven't tried it yet but maybe try bringing a karkinos carrying imprinted mate boosted stegos or maybe Carnos if stegos aren't immune to radiation.

Updoot if you want Dododex to add how many ACs are necessary to hatch an egg!

It was hinted that it takes similar to a Scorched Earth creature. I doubt you cannonball it or use a flamethrower, so most likely requires stealing an egg and raising. Cheers

You don't need a radiation immune dino in the asgard caves! I went in with a direbear which aren't immune and it was fine!

From what I understand, these guys ONLY need to cuddle when imprinting. Makes for a super easy imprinting.

Y’ALL. I just found a great tip for hatching rock drake eggs without air conditioning.

Ik it’s long but it might be worth reading!

Build a decent sized hut outta anything other than thatch, and get around 10– more or less high level dimetroodons. (Level them into melee) and just put the egg in with them.

Dimetroodons are known for insulating the area around them, making it a comfortable temperature for anything you put in with them, even as cold as required for the eggs. This works wonders because, if you’re here, you might also know that rock drake eggs need to be cold to incubate, rather than warm— but, like, really cold. -80 to -90 degrees (I believe Celsius? But that’s even colder in Fahrenheit. I forgot what I had it set to when I checked it on here). And that can be hard to achieve.
