When I try to hatch the egg it says “too hot” does anyone know where specifically I can hatch the egg?? I’m level 57 currently so getting AC or egg incubator is hard.

Fastest and best way to get drake eggs.

Go to gen 2 and put a few beds by a terminal. Take off your fed suit shoes and kill yourself. You will spawn with another pair of fed armor. Repeat this a few times until you have 3 sets. Make another bed a few parachutes and a storage box. Transfer to abberation and spawn at edge 4(very bottom spawn point). Keep 2 sets on you and put an extra pair in a storage box just in case you meet your end. Go jump in the element river(pink) it will charge your suit for free. No element required and it will keep you safe from radiation. Charge 2 suits fully. Make your way to the rock drake nests. You’ll be able to get away real quick after snagging one.

I went down there with three friends, we all had (somewhat) decent crabs. It took a while to get down there, but since the crab can jump, it is easy to get the eggs. Also, because the crabs is so powerful, you can easy kill all of the drakes (especially with four people).

Requires stealing a Rock Drake egg, and raising like the Wyverns in Scorched Earth. Won't eat meat as a baby, but WILL eat Nameless Venom, so I would suggest hunting Nameless until you have a nice supply of it. It also requires cold temperatures to hatch, so make use of air conditioners.

Can bee seen from a distance while onvisible...look for the lightning blue shimmer on clifffaces and ceilings

I used around 6 to 10 dimetrodons in a house for incubation.

Doesn’t matter how many you use, just make sure that the insulation in the room is 2100 or better.

To check the insulation in the room, just take off all your clothes and open up your inventory screen…. It’s in the center console where it displays time, day, amount of tames and temperature… It probably says insulation count under temperature.

If you get the angle right you basically can fly with the drake and if you know how to do right you can keep jumping and bursting into the ground and its highly effective and at getting away from fast flyers and if you on a very hilled, mountainous, caved, or canyoned area even better because you can basically spam it making almost impossible to catch you.

Use the Karkinos to retrieve an egg, trust me, as long as it is at least a high level...

Haven’t seen a tip on this yet: on Aberration, follow the metal spine in order to get to the path which leads down to the rock drake nest.

Alternatively you can drop down all the way and dismount, but it isn’t easy to find your way back, especially if you aren’t familiar with the map. I dropped down to the huge fossil, and I had a lot of trouble getting back. Needed to use my ravager and shoot zip lines around the place to get back. Not ideal.

2-3 pairs of hazard suits. Even dropping down, don’t bring just one. Only grab one drake egg for your first expedition if it is a hassle getting more eggs. It’s much easier once you get your first drake raised. Grab 85 red gems on your way home too. For the drake saddle.

You need a crazy amount of ACs to hatch drake eggs. Like 20. Breed and level a ravager for weight, use an anky with a cryopod or pick, and harvest the blue rocks in the bioluminescent zone. Plenty of metal there. Tek creatures cover electronics but if you’re on ascended, I know that the little pond area outside the portal by the cave has trilobites and I think silica pearls too.

You have to feed it nameless venom for the baby’s but there so fun to use

Are rock drakes breedable as wyvern recently became breedable? Put OTA: so I know it is a responce to me.

A great way to get a drake egg is to use a karkinos. It may be slower than other creatures but it is radiation immune and is really powerful.

Use a Snow owl to heal babies, so you don't need venom, which isn't hard to get either 😉

Be care full stealing the eggs 🥚, wen you do they'll dive bomb you so mutch ! Plus there invisible so there easy to miss also steal one egg 20 attack!! 😨

You can steal these eggs without any tames, just get a gen 2 tek suit, transfer to abb. go to the overlook and jump into the element water, let it charge your suit and then steal an egg. Charge your suit whenever you get low on power, tek suit back up to green zone/ wherever and you have yourself a drake, costs nothing at all and is super easy. Just remember to manage your element and you’re good. The suit doesn’t provide much protection though, so with a 450 hp char I was 2 shot, but you can use the tek leggings ability to fly away quickly.

Rock Drakes can detect buried player's Reapers. Keep an eye on the feathers on your Drake's head. The feathers will flare up when you are close.

I've tried to get eggs with a managarmr with 4200 Stam and with the mushroom brew (alot of them and they don't stack) its a breeze to get to the eggs, but getting back out of the radiation zone without killing the mana is hard. If you're gonna use a mana for this, level up Stam to 5k+ atleast. Good luck
