These spawn on extinction as CORRUPTED rock drakes

Just in case you see this on Extinction and think you can tame one on that map, you can't. They'll always spawn corrupted. Corrupted dinos can't be tamed. Just in case

Make sure you stuff a good amount of meat onto your tame if your going to the trenches to steal their eggs since rock drakes give a hilariously small amount of meat when eaten....

They are on fjordur in a purple forest in asgard carful the cave has radiation

Egg and XP farming is amazing in the cave on Asgard. I ride my Rex and take a handful of shadowmanes to deal with Agro’d Drakes. Easily leveling to get some boss ready Manes and super easy eggs

Cheese it with a snow owl use snow owl to heal you with radiation damage and you can grab an egg and fly out

Rock drakes can be a higher level than what the highest level a normal creature, ex: a trike can only be a 150 and that's its highest level but the rock drakes can be about 185 maybe 190,steal the eggs run or fight as long as you get the egg

I didnt know that rock drakes can wander into the blue zone, and one killed me. Be careful because they can be there

It is good for jumping of cliffs but don't go through a forest with it you will get stuck. With the tech armor it requires element, which you get from the bosses. When you come across an egg take it, it will help. I use it for getting to places with speed

They are in aberration ascended now in the unknown part of the aberration zone

They spawn in green zone aberration one killed all my tames and me

THEY CAN SPAWN IN THE ABERRATION CAVE BEWARE

If your new to the rock drake in the wild before you anger them they will be this outline of a blurry dragon thing and they only spawn in the radioactive ☢️ zone make sure you have a megalosaurus or something like that most likely if it’s a mammal it takes radioactive damage if it’s a reptile it will most likely do the opposite of a mammal

nobodys mentioned it but on extinction when you kill a corrupted drake theres a chance they drop a drake egg.

Don't be scared to venture into the red it takes patience and a good route out p.s. Don't Bring Your ravager their useless on official servers for getting the eggs

Can bee seen from a distance while onvisible...look for the lightning blue shimmer on clifffaces and ceilings

Haven’t seen a tip on this yet: on Aberration, follow the metal spine in order to get to the path which leads down to the rock drake nest.

Alternatively you can drop down all the way and dismount, but it isn’t easy to find your way back, especially if you aren’t familiar with the map. I dropped down to the huge fossil, and I had a lot of trouble getting back. Needed to use my ravager and shoot zip lines around the place to get back. Not ideal.

2-3 pairs of hazard suits. Even dropping down, don’t bring just one. Only grab one drake egg for your first expedition if it is a hassle getting more eggs. It’s much easier once you get your first drake raised. Grab 85 red gems on your way home too. For the drake saddle.

You need a crazy amount of ACs to hatch drake eggs. Like 20. Breed and level a ravager for weight, use an anky with a cryopod or pick, and harvest the blue rocks in the bioluminescent zone. Plenty of metal there. Tek creatures cover electronics but if you’re on ascended, I know that the little pond area outside the portal by the cave has trilobites and I think silica pearls too.
