When killing one of these get a couple flying creatures that can really take a hit like a griffin or something. Also when trying to tame one of these you have to impregnate a Dino but before you impregnate a Dino you have to get the rhyniognatha to at least 100 HP then let it mate with a large dinosaur (I used a Rex) after force feeding the orb to the large dinosaur you get after killing a rhyniognatha. Then the rhyniognatha will leave you alone and you have to care for the impregnated Dino and give it all its cravings. After almost an hour your impregnated dinosaur will die unfortunately, and you have a juvenile rhyniognatha and then it’s like raising a regular baby Dino

It would seem feeding your Dino the requested food will make the timer jump forward a bit

Ok, to the guy who said you net it and now it won’t impregnate your rex, have you fed your rex a pheromone? That way it knows to impregnate?

Taming one. It'll take on the stats of the father randomly, just like breeding dinos. It'll be random. So there is a possibility of having a super tame with all the mutations of your super dino. CAUTION, soul balls, and cryopods cancel impregnation.

If you cryo the host the larva will die

Where can I find It? Some say in the Red Woods and some say in the swamp

You can find on lost island around where the sinos spawn just stay around that swampy regions

Do a double take to make sure that level 150 you spotted is a female. If it is male and you forget to check you might lose the dino you wanted to sacrifice l while waiting for it to lay eggs.

Hey guys I found one and I figured out how to tame one. When you kill one you gain a Rhyniognatha Pheromone and it’s used by feeding it to any creature will mark it as a host for egg laying and I found mine on lost island in the jungle 60 lat 50 long.

TAMING A RHYNIOGNATHA

So to get the female to lay eggs

Find a male

Kill

Take feremone

Find a female

Get it down to 10% health

Give your rex or dino the feremone and boom she will lay eggs in it.

`Your dino will then slowly die`

I got a 5min timer, with a craving timer underneath that, it's like a imprint buff, it asks for stuff like kibble and black pearls, I presume this will give it some sort of buff or levels to baby!

They will only lay on a host that's higher level than them

Heads up! When an impregnated creature craves Woolly Rhino Horns, it will also accept Deathworm Horns for the craving.

Also, Megatheriums get the Bug Killer buff and aggro onto Rhyniognatha.

Rex can use pheromones 100% used low level rex

The best thing that worked for me to tame this creature was a Trike!

On official I recommend taming while 3x boost. Took us 8hrs to tame on 1x.

Food drain was insane and had to have a tribe mate do berry runs for us. How people are taming these with carnivores is beyond me.

Prepare prepare prepare!

These are pretty confusing to tale so i will help you and sum up taming in a few steps.

step1.Kill a male and harvest pheremone.

step 2. feed pheremone to a large dino (i reccomend the bronto).

step 3. find a female and reduce its health to at least ten percent.

Step 4. Let it lay an egg on you large dino of choice.

Step 5. feed your dino cravings and make sure you give it plenty of regular food (it will consume a lot of food while its incubating.) and once the rhyniognathia hatches your dino will sie amd you will have yourself a beatiful bug that carries rexes and shoots sap. :)

How do you trap tame it? I trapped seven and each failed and I did it just how you have to do it according to the devs.

From personal experience, pumping Narcotics into the host dino has reduced the health damage from cravings. The effect is very temporary though.

Tame a bronto, kill a male to get a phormone, find a high level female get her low on health, make her attack your high level bronto, she will lay a egg in the bronto.

Use a good pump shotgun and bring alot of ammo to weaken it to a certain amount of hp bring a tame u can shoot off of and make sure it has alot of hp so it won't die also bring a magnifying glass to check its hp and bring alot of med brews just incase cuz you need to be safe as well
