For the people who can’t find the rhynio you can find it in the swamp area on the lost island map an the island be awear it is as rare as a giga and you need 2 one for the feromoon and one for impregnated just like a reaper only a female can impregnated your tame needs to be under 10% of its hp to impregnated your tame

It’s possible to get babies lvl 400+ if you use massively mutated dinos as the host. My 1113 lvl mutated carchs have generated bugs lvl 700+, passing the carch’s melee of 1377%, 50k health, to the baby when using lvl 150 parent rhyniognatha. It is random which parent gives up it’s stat but pretty consistently I get at least two/three stat lines out of five I’ve mutated on the carch on each bug. Use the biggest dinos to get the best stat transfer. Rexes work but the bug level will be lower even with all cravings satisfied. 150 bug parent on an over 250lvl Rex generates bugs lower than 200 on average.

Step 1: kill a male for a pheramone

Step 2: find a female

Step 3: use a harpoon net to put it onto the ground.

Step 4: drop its health below 10%

Step 5: pull out tame you want impregnated (remember to put on passive)

Step 6: once impregnanted pull away in the opposite of the rhynips flight path away (if you are wanting to repeat this)

Step 7: make sure to hit all cravings as this effects the % of the stats given as i have noticed in 20% increments (golden hespy egg will be the bain of your existance if you dont have some available)

Step 8: baby will kill tame and will continue on the normal impront process.

Tip: the stats run off the physical stats of the tame. If your tames mutated melee is at 254 and you get a full craving on a bronto, carchar, or giga thats what will transfer over if the stat is carried over from the host dino.

It is very important to get ALL cravings because if you don’t it’ll be a lvl 20 instead of 260 seriously the max level is decided based off of the sacrifice, Rhyniognatha, and the cravings a lvl 150 Rhyniognatha with a 230 tame can be about 200 with all cravings but only 56 with no cravings it is very important!

It seems using a highly mutated large creature like a Carchar as a host and hitting all the cravings for the Rhynio will birth you very much a sky giga

They are very weak, low health, easy to kill!

How to tame this bug:

First kill a rhyniognatha

Then collect its pheromone

Use the pheromone on ur tame (bronto recommended

Then find a high level female rhynio then get its health below 10 percent

Then it will impregnate ur tame

Then ur tame will have cravings that you need to give it

Then a juvenile rhynio will burst out ur creature then Boom! U now have a living apache helicopter

You can't use a tek dino as the sacrificial host. You can have multiple host dinos impregnated at the same time while taming just get them close together on passive and feed them all the pheromone before the Rhyniognatha can impregnate one. Helps to net gun the Rhyniognatha while lowering it's hp

Trap the Rhiniognatha and use she multiple Times.Its OP!!!

The bigger the Dino and the more cravings done gets you most of the impregnated Dino’s states no matter the rhyniognatha level

Voidwyrm and sarco dont work for feeding the pheromone

Use the net gun then use a creature to get it to as low as you can without killing it then use a gun to get it to 10℅

Use large Dino’s like Giga and Carchar, give it all the cravings it asks for, you can get absurd levels, with a 180 Rhynio and super high level Carchars, you can get like levels above 300

To tame it you have to kill one to get Rhyniognatha pheromones and then get one to about 10% of it’s maximum HP and then use the pheromones on a creature which it will lay an egg inside

Have found 1 on the island south side of redwood by the swamp

How to tame one of these critters:

1. Kill a male one, they will drop a rhyniognatha pheromone that you’ll need later on

2. Grab a creature trike sized and upwards, things like gigas, brontos and carchars work best for this (the bigger the creature, the better it’ll be)

3. Feed the pheromone to the creature you choose

4. Find a female, the higher the level the better of course, and lower its health to 10% like a reaper

5. The rhyniognatha will then impregnate the creature and use it as a host to birth the baby rhyniognatha

6. The host will give birth eventually however you can increase its stats by giving it food. The host will ask for cravings, these cravings will vary between things like brews (calien soup etc), eggs (giga etc) and gasoline for some reason

7. Enjoy your new rhyniognatha, it eats raw meat to keep alive

The only wild one I have found was in the island swamp, I have heard people saying they are on lost island also. To get them you need to kill one and take the special item it drops, then you need to find the one you want to tame and get it below 10% health like a reaper, then feed the special item to a sacrifice dino and eventually the bug will lay its eggs in it, make sure your Dino can eat the special item first as there seem to be some restrictions. you need to feed the Dino with the eggs something special every once in a while like a imprint and eventually it hatches and kills your Dino and you can claim the baby and raise it.

Hey Guys! The rhynio dossier has been released it’s taming method is pretty much the same! It also seems that they removed the level mechanics where you have to be higher or the same level as the female to receive the egg which is good for players that have never ascended before!
