What are tips for rhyniognatha? Tips and strategies for rhyniognatha in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If anyone tells you that these are rare ignore them because THEY ARE AS COMMON AS AIR I have seen at least 10 of them in one place last time I went to redwoods
I was flying on top of the redwoods swamp and then on agro to me and it kill me , my argy, and I lost all my inventory, that included a lvl105 megatherium(pest control) that was in a cryopod, and two more empty cryopods. They also be in packs of two to three so be ware. R.I.P (pest control). Sincerely from: Anthony the Dino tamer
These things are starting to spawn in non swamp areas. I believe they are supposed to spawn in the swamp areas around the redwoods but it seems they either spawn farther or wander because I’ve been seeing these a lot in areas that should be peaceful. By the way these things are not rare and normally come in packs of 2-3
Dude, these things have taken so many of my spinos and pts and argys these guys are so annoying like you cannot go into the redwoods because I’m trying to get a thylacoleo currently, and I can’t get it because I cannot get into the redwoods
1. They are not rare literally the swamp is theirs
2. They are fast as hell so you won’t able to cut them off
3. Their attacks are no joke, bro 1 shot my high level pt when we out of stamina and land, don’t even know if that’s sap or lava
When you wanna get rid of them, I haven’t tried, but you may lure them to a big dino like a bronto or something and wait for that them fighting then you shall run like your mom chasing you 🤦🏻♂️
I tried to do that with smaller stuffs but bro did not give up on me
For those that don’t know it will eat through the food f the tame you’re using, so have lots of food ready. I used a Bronto with 46.8k food and it was depleting it in 3 mins. Veggie Cakes help keep its HP up too so you can finish the gestation.
Steps to Tame
1. Kill male to get pheromone.
2. Use a large Dino… Rex, Giga, Spino, etc.. base stats that I know of count for a better baby bug. Put this Dino on Passive.
3. Find a Female.
4. Set up a trap using about 6-7 stone Behemoth structure close together, put gates on the ends. I use Tek gate much easier. Leave small gaps to go in and out of.
5. Lure female into gate and shoot with net gun. .
6. Grab your Dino that is on passive and walk it in and close and lock the gates. Try to use a Dino that has decent health.
7. Use Magnifying glass and look at health. You need to get it down to 10% remaining. Use net gun to check health and take your time, have a sleeping bag near by in case you die.
8. Feed your Dino the pheromone, and watch the tail of the bug glow, after it should go to your Dino and impregnate it.
9. Thats it, for breeding it will need a lot of food and some way to heal your Dino like a snow owl, or just force feed it food. Your Dino will want a lot of different things, like kibble, soups, I heard gasoline too lol.
Cheers and Good Luck.
I lost 2 T. rex, 5 raptors, 1 Stego, 1 trike, and 2 pt to these things… I just want to know how to kill this buggers 😢
Best thing to do is to have a harpoon with net attachments, net it, take it down to 10 percent health, un cryo a decent sized dino n fees it the pheromone, when its out the net it will lay eggs instantly,.... Also don't cryo the dino after it will stop the incubation completely
I tamed one. Mother rhynio- lvl 125, surrogate mother-- lvl 205(base 193) bronto. I GOT LVL 31 Baby!!? Feels like I wasted my hard tamed bronto. For this low lvl I should have just used a trike.
These things seem to have weird agro so they kinda just attack any new creature near them. So if you want to escape one just lure it close to other creatures.
Step 1: first you have to kill a male rhyniognatha and take the pheromone from its inventory
Step 2:take a Dino which can eat the pheromone I recommend taking a brontosaurus, rex ,yutyrannus and trike
Step3: find a low lvl female rhyniognatha (you can use high lvls also but they do more dmg)
Step 4: drop the female to below or 100 health (when you think you can 1 shot it use tranq arrows or a spear or pike) quickly feed ur Dino the pheromone before the rhyniognatha flees away
Step 5:your Dino will be impregnated and it will crave 5 different foods
(It's health will go down but don't try to heal it it's a waste of time and food) the time for the baby to come out will be 1 hour and feeding the 5 different foods is not compulsory but it will highly effect the lvl
Step 6: you now have a juvenile/baby rhyniognatha!!!!!
To be honest I am gonna take this with element all I need is 5 right? And this fits in two categories taming and funny. So thus far I have yet to run into this thing so if you play Lost Island please tell me where you find them.
I found a high level Yutyrannus, and tamed him. After that I turned Dino damage to 0 Dino resistance to zero (Ark ultimate mobile edition) and tryed to get him to my base (along with my newly tamed direwolf and not new argy) that happened to be on the island on the opposite side of the swamp. These could not damage it with melee, but 6 shot it with resin. I backed out of the game immediately and then killed the one I knew where it was at by jumping off my argentavis and shotgunning it (after I turned resistance to back to normal. Then I set the settings back to the original and 3 more came. Basically same solution, but please fix the rhynogantha from doing resin damage/kills when Dino damage is at 0.0 and stop them from spawning so much, it makes the game miserable.
Bring a sleeping bag with you in case you forget something at your house that your dino craves.
Carchas can incubate as well - have one player hit the Female Rhynio until she's below 10% health. During this, you ride the Carcha and feed it the Male Rhynio pheromone. When the Female is below 10% health it will automatically disengage from your friend (I assume if close enough) and start hitting the sacrifice tame. It'll have a really noticeable red cloud around the tame when the Female was successful, and then she'll fly off.
The incubation time will begin. You want a dino with a large health pool because it will start to go down as the incubation continues, and when the baby Rhynio hatches it will kill that tame. If the sacrifice tame dies before incubation is complete or if you cryo it, the incubation will terminate and progress will be lost.
I suggest having a 'box' to keep the tame sacrifice in while it incubates, because it takes some time and you want to keep the sacrifice tame safe and alive. I just did stone fence supports and then large stone walls to surround the tame. You can then cryo the baby Rhynio AFTER it hatches (explodes) from the sacrifice tame, bring it back to base, and raise it in safety.
Good luck!
