I tamed a Rex by taking my pteranodon and landing on a rock where the Rex couldn’t reach me and shooting it with tranq arrows until it ran away, then chased it while still shooting it until it fainted. Make sure to take plenty of narcotics to keep it unconscious while taming it though. Up if helpful!

Lol I was trying to tame a level 100 and it got stuck so I hit it with 20 tranq dart and 50 tranq arrows and it did not go down so I used a sling shot that I had laying around and I hit it 50 times and it got knocked out

Rex is an easy tame if you can get a beezlebufo the gaint frog just hit and run with tranqs while on the frog rex will never be able to touch the frog coz you'll be able to jump real far and shoot the tranq when the rex get close jump again to keep distance then shoot the rex to sleep by continuing the process the frog can be used to tame almost any creature whether land or water

Im on mobile,level 59 and have a rex level5 it has 1100 health its color is green its damage is160 percent and tip raw meat helps really good if you don’t have raw prime meat.I knocked it out with 13 tranq arrows red woods.

130 X-Rex took me 242 Arrows with a basic xbow.... then i resorted to punching it unconscious.... 3x what dodo says to bring.

So you wanna tame a Rex here’s what you need

Couple hundred arrows or darts

Some prime meat

If a high lv then make a simple 3gate trap place the in the form of a triangle with a bear trap at the middle lure it in close it in and tranq it out ezz or just tame a spino

Shoot them while they attack a diplo. They will stay distracted as the diplo plays with it without harming it!

They are actually really easy tames People are always like oh build a trap oh du du du du NO all you need it’s a Tanky parasur and some tranq arowws there then just wait 2 seconds before shooting again

I tried the triangle formation of metal dino gates as per one of the top tips but that didn't work. What did work for me was a four wall box of stone behemoth gates and then kiting the rex into there with a flyer and then closing the rex inside. Make sure you placed the gate box near a high boulder so that you can land there and tranq the rex from above.

Easy Rex trap:

Requirements,

1x large bear trap (optional)

4x Dino gateways (stone or higher)

Steps:

Place the first 3 gateways in a U shape with some space between because the Rex is fat.

Then place the bear trap in the middle.

Then find the Rex and lead it through the open part of the U shape.

Once the Rex is in place the last gate (this is much easier with the bear trap but not impossible)

If you want to trap other large carnivores this same trap also works. (With gigas use metal instead of stone) 🦖

Punch with Fists and feed it raw meat, easy tame. (may include Head being torn off)

Get a friend with a flyer to pick you up, then fly over the rex and tranq it

Many of the people here are saying to just go and shoot them. Just do it. I would agree. When if tamed mine I was scared that it was to fast, but you can easily beat it while sprinting. shoot it, run away, repeat. easy. Tranq arrows will work fine just bring enough. And be prepared to make more just incase.

This guy is annoying for me because whenever I try to knock him out he always goes into the water😞😞😞

If you want to tame one of these pretty early, its actually quite easy that you can even do it on foot. Just a crossbow and atleast a stack of tranq arrows is enough (I recommend 2 stacks just in case). Just make sure to lure it into a nearby herbivore and it'll attack it instead. During that time just shoot it until it pass out and there you go, all you have to do is to feed it and wait.

Now some people overestimate the rex.It’s actually pretty easy to tame.So there are hundreds of tutorials on taming rexes that you can find on the internet.

You can make traps to trap them and then shoot them with tranq arrows or darts.So what I do is:I build a really tall tower out of stone pillars and then I build something to stand on on the top.Then I just shoot the t-rex and since it can’t reach the top or break stone you can easily knock him out.

You’ll also need a lot of tranq arrows,a few hundred will do.And also a parachute so you can come down safely in case something goes wrong.And I forgot to type this but make ladders to come up and down from the tower.

This guide is only for low level rexes

Step 1: get a crossbow with about 15 tranq arrows

Step 2: find a Rex

Step 3: run away from the Rex and shoot with crossbow

Step 4: repeat until unconscious

Step 5: insert raw meat into inventory and wait doesn’t need narcotics if low level

Step 6: enjoy your new Rex

To the person that said real men tame these with tranq arrow and a cliff… REAL MEN TAME THESE CRITTERS WITH A BOOMERANG ON FOOT (thank lord I didn’t accidentally kill Fox Trot my rex lol)
