Try to make it stuck, i went on a hill that it couldn't get up and shot it with darts from the top of the hill and it was simple enough to tame all I used was raw prime meat and it takes in under an hour with no boosts or anything

I suggest when taming a Rex (especially if you have god mode) to get as much prime as possible and find a Rex lower lvl 5 and tame it because I did that less than 15 mins ago and my Rex is already up and at my base.

What i did is i just shot at it while also leading it to harmless harbivors for the rex to fight so that i can shoot at it while it is distracted

Just go to the green thing in the sky and that is a great place for beginners to catch rexes just bring a large bear trap, 20 tranqs, 40 meat and then set a trap at the base of a tall rock then lead a Rex over and you should have one in no time

Wild hyaenodons will attack an unconscious Rex. Clear them out beforehand. Just had a wild unconscious max level Rex get killed by a pack.

If you are not picky try getting a low level one because i knoched a level 2 in a couple of shots and took only like 5 mins to tame

Even early game they're not too hard to tame. Get yourself an Iguanodon and put it on all fours, then it will never run out of stamina. Run back and forth shooting the Rex it will never catch you. Just got one with tranq arrows and a bow, but you could do the same with stone arrows if you wanted to kill it.

I have found that using 4 Metal Billboards works relatively well, adding a bear trap (like giga traps) works even better

If you got a high level Dino you can just tank it and shoot it with a longneck rifle

These things have a tendency to chase you and then forget about you. They have a short attention span. When you actually do manage to get one to chase you lease it towards a large bear trap. It’ll get stuck. When it does, place normal stone Dino gates around it to trap it. Then tranq and feed.

When I tamed a rex I just kited it do not use a trap unless your not as experienced as other people. But you do not need a trap the only thing you need is traqs and a flyer

Easiest way to tame...

1.Get a good flyer

2.Tranquilliser dart are best but i tamed it with tranq arrow in crossbow.(almost 20 shots)

3.kibble is best but u can also use raw prime meet.

4.Have bio toxin or narcotics handy I didnt use it because it’s torpid is like 1700 and I used minor soothing balm with raw prime meet.

Strategy:

1.Ride ur flyer and make Rex follow u to some cliffs (I tamed it near snow where there is a cliff and some pond which is perfect place to find a Rex and tame it without any disturbance like raptors,wolfs,etc...)

2.Stand on cliff and start shooting tranqs.

3.Once it starts to run u can chase it on foot it might be getting down on next shot once it starts to run.

4.Use soothing balm or whatever plan u have to tame it.

IF ITS SNOW KEEP SOME FIRE TORCHES, FIREPLACES,HANDY TO KEEP U WARM.

Make a trap or tame it with a freind. It is so much easier

A easy and cheap way to tame is using 3 stone fence foundation and 6 stone doorway plus a door. You make it into a u shape and lure rex in then close the door and tame it up. For mobile as the door auto close I recommend using another fence foundation and 2 doorways to block of the exit/entrance you can also try pillars.

Don't try unless u know how to build a trap thats good

Bruh I tamed 2 a while back with just my crossbow, a high rock, a Pteranodon, normal meat, and fish meat, nothing else-

And right now Im level 46, extremely easy tames-

if you know what you're doing, taming a rex doesn't require a trap. i recommend taming one as soon as you unlock tranq arrows--shoot from a cliff or ledge if you can, but if you have stamina you can just run and shoot. the saddle doesn't unlock until late game, but you'll have a powerful bodyguard until then. if you're hunting with your rex, it'll level up, and by the time you DO get the saddle, it'll be shredded 🔥

Tip: if you feel like rex in dangerous area or scary to fight huge area full with dinosaur, i recommand kill it, and take A green thing in his invteroy in any obisk red or green beacuse it both great spot to spawn it, Also make hanger in it, so you could sleep him by using tranq, once you make Nice size hanger on it, reaviel him and sleep him,

Note: You need amber depend on how much Level dino..
