General trap for most dinos, 3x3 stone foundstions, 2-3 high doorframe, wood ramp leading in any side, works for most dinos

How to tame: 1, get to level 59 or 60 and get the hunt: tyrannosaurus Rex quest you can abandon and re do it if you know the threat of the marked area you can do it without the quest but finding it without the quest is just excruciating 2, preparing: get TONS of tranq arrows and set a trap if your taming a high level one for low levels you don't need a trap just a high cliff or a high rock that the rex can't walk on and reach you also bring a bunch off narcotics for high levels for low levels just bring 50 - 69 narcotics 3, lead it to somewhere safe for taming 3, kill everything with your rex

1 a tool to nock the rex a cross bow should do but you

Can use a long neck if you want

2 four Dino gates remember to place them with space

Between so the rex can fit and a bear trap so the Rex

Can’t move and you can place behind the Rex

3 now start nocking it out remember to shoot

In between 5 second so the last train arows so they

Have full affect

4 get some prime feed it to the Rex

5 name the Rex if you want there’s some names in Dododex name zone

Get it stuck between some rocks or get somewhere high and wait for it to start running than keep using tranq arrows or darts till it knocks out easy

I was about to try to trap a spino by the ramp and into the box tactic but when I saw that this thing can't break stone I will immediately make it a trap hope this works also I'm level 40 so idk if I can tame it as an super early level also I hope the tactic I said works since I didn't see many YouTubers playing ark use that trap tactic

I tamed a red at level 22 because tranq arrows work really deliver to some where it can't bite you and just shoot 20 tranq arrows at it and it is done get raw meat as well to tame it up is this worked

Just make a two high stone box and have the back have no stone walls then make a door way in the corner of the box so you can get out and the rex can’t then run around it and then build the stone walls and there you go

Then shoot him in his eyes

Taming a rex won't be easy because they can be high level and also because they are strong and they come in 2 sometimes. Mainly you'll need a dino to ride and shoot on it's back. And you'll need meat, I mainly do raw meat because it's faster so is mutton raw or cooked.

I tamed this bad boy with a primitive crossbow tranq arrows and raw meat with just a little itty bitty narcotics and now i have tamed a rex ;3

Easy tame; just make a pitfall trap with 2 wall high walls and 4 foundations. Get it to follow you through some ramps to the pit and get it stuck. Just make sure the Rex is actually stuck (they can sometimes glitch through the walls). Once you see a little drop of the Rex, he should be for sure stuck and you can tame safely. Make the pit out of stone though so you have yourself a durable taming pen that you can rely on to get multiple of these guys.

4 stone foundations fill the sides with stone doorframe to frames high four ramps and now get that Rex here and then TAME 60 tranq arrows on a starter bow or mobile first bow. Need at least two bows. Then go hunting with your Rex and you two will be best friends.

Was probably one of the easiest tames I ever did and I tamed it on a sarco

Easy to tame if you have a fast mount and enough arrows. I started a new world and with my equus tamed a lvl 145 with a crossbow. Narcoberries and raw meat did the trick. Now I have a base guardian with lots of teeth.

Get one Dino stone and metal and wood use the stone to make dinosaur gate frame then use the metal and wood to make the doors then set the trap put the Dinosaur bait In and make sure there is a lot of T. rex and make a place to watch the T. rex and for the place you are watching from has a exit also have a saddle for the T. rex ready

Where to find: You can honestly find these guys almost everywhere. Mainly in highlands/grassy areas, also the green forest areas. Sometimes even beaches!

What they're good for:

I personally use them for hunting and they usually can kill things with one bite.

How to tame:

Find a rex

Make a stone dino pen (preferably 4 walls high)

Lure the rex into trap

I personally use the bow and stone tranq arrows as it's the cheapest and almost the most effective taming method.

Shoot it down (depending on rex level your bow may break 5 times so be prepared for that).

Feed it meat or kibble of your choice !

Use narco berries or narcotics if necessary.

*REMEMBER TO ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST 30 MORE TRANQ ARROWS THAN RECOMMENDED*

Easy beginner tame! Unfortunately though you can't get the rex saddle till level 78 I believe.

Disclaimer: I mainly play on slightly boosted servers so it may not be this easy on official.

Use a pheromone dart on a bronto, then shoot the Rex while it attacks it, then kill the bronto or tame it. You could also use a tamed bronto on passive.

Build a mini house and anger it and trap it in the house and then tame it it worked for me
