Honestly quite an easy tame.Just trap it at the bottom of a cliff and load it with tranqs

Bros instead of using kibble use raw meat if you want to tame when you are in low level use a smoothing balm and meat with a simple trap

what u do is build a trap u can search traps in google or youtube get alot of traq arrows and narcotics ALOT OF THEM bring prime meat when tamed get the saddle at level 74 i think or 71 tip for mobile players

How to tame a rex without (you might die) dying!

Make sure to have what you’re taming with like a longneck and tranq darts. Have a crossbow and a grapple. Maybe a flyer. Grapple onto the Rex’s back and make sure you’re all the way on there cause rex might go munch. Shoot the longneck with the tranq darts while grappled onto its back (THE LINE MUST BE VERY TIGHT SO YOU DONT ACCIDENTALLY GET BIT). Once the rex wants to run away you’ll lose the grapple on its back and you can just chase it around without having to worry about getting munched today!

You are faster if you are running you dont have to craft a iron bola just run away shoot it with narcosearrows .you only need 23 arrows its soo easy

Why are you all using traps I tame them all the time, I never have a problem, hit-and-run or High Ground baby!

You dont need traps for this guy, just find a place where he cant reach you and shoot! You can always lead him to a comfortable place tho. I did so and tamed 2 or 3 rexes by this way.

If you have a rex put all points into melee damage

Tamed a max level tek Rex with tranq arrows and a griffin

So just get a griffin lol

How to tame in PvE:

1. Randomly come across a stego stuck in someone elses trap (AI must have wandered it in becoz owner of trap was offline)

2. Watch as moron Rex aggros onto trapped stego and falls into trap itself.

3. Be lucky enough to have tranq darts, narcotics, an empty cryopod on hand and an Ovis grazing nearby.

4. Knockout moron Rex.

5. Murder peaceful Ovis.

6. Stuff moron Rex full of the good stuff.

7. Wait for tame.

8. Cryo that beast and yeet yourself out of there before owner of trap returns to complain about how you owe him a free Rex.

Rexes are weaker than Spinos. My Spino killed 2 rexes, are the rex hp was in 1200s or something. Idk, 1 rex is a lot for casual mode.

How to tame.

Step 1-make a line of 16 to 20 giant bear traps where you want to tame your Rex.

Step 2-Agro a Rex and get it to step on the first bear trap.

Step 3-shoot with tranqs until knocked out(I suggest a longneck rifle and a lot of tranq darts).

Step 4 -put 20-30 prime meat into its inventory.

Step 5-enjoy your new Rex.

This is how to kill a rex easy peasy:

1. Get god console and use fly mode in god console.

2. Find a rex and let it get angry.

3. Lead the angry rex to bronto herd.

4. Just see the rex getting killed by the bronto herd.

Or

Use god console kill target to instant kill the rex.

Would recommend just using a crossbow and Tranq Arrows no need to waste darts. The strat I used for a tek lvl 114 was lead it to a cliff with an argent and shoot it from above. For the prime meat I just killed brontos waited then killed more.

Just lead these guys up to a hill they can’t get on and then pound them over and over like it called you the N-Word. When it is knocked, I’d recommend a friend going to highlands if on ragnarok and bring home and ovis on a raft OR if the bird has high Stam just fly back. Starve it until it need feeding and then boom! Nice red with good taming effectiveness.

For all my Rex tames I have used a good tapejara since you can land on trees and shoot off it in the redwoods. Just shoot and kill nearby thylas and then shoot the Rex from above. Then kill something (Prime meat is plentiful in redwoods) and tame your Rex!

If you are on the ragnarok map and find a Rex you want to tame near viking Bay, then the sketon then run Rex after you, then run around the rips. Then shot it while your at it thats how I tamed a level 21 tek Rex at level 29
