Step 1: make 4 (or more) stone gates and a large bear trap

Step 2: put 3 gates down in a box like formation then bear trap in the middle like this |_| (| means gate)

Step 3: get the Rex on the bear trap and place the last gate behind the Rex trapping it

Step 4: using tranq arrows, toxicant arrows, tranq darts, shocking tranq darts, or creatures that deal a lot of torpor knock it out

Step 4: just go kill a prime dinosaur for prime meat then put the prime and regular meat in the Rex’s inventory

Step 5: once it tames have fun with your new Rex like I did!

Who else misses the old model

you know ive killed several big dino tames because they take A LOT of fall damage. ive killed one named bobbt and one called bobbt flay. I now have one but i forgot what he is called. 😎 I wanted you to know before you tame one. make arrow green for me? 👉👈

One day ruined, my Rex chomped the 150 Rex lying on the ground and taming effectiveness decreased by 50%, it died afterwards after getting stuck in the terrain…

Up = 150 Rex found!!!

The way I tamed one: place a stone pillar, then on that one another then on that one another until you have a ten tall pillar thing, then one stone ceiling on the very top pillar. around that stone ceiling make a 3x3 stone ceiling thingy. I have one near the red woods for Rex's around that area. When a rex near tower camp thing ,tranq(when fleas, you must have good aim)if successful it will get knocked out obviously🤓 Then just feed (Bring cryopod as usual)

Honestly quite an easy tame.Just trap it at the bottom of a cliff and load it with tranqs

Bros instead of using kibble use raw meat if you want to tame when you are in low level use a smoothing balm and meat with a simple trap

what u do is build a trap u can search traps in google or youtube get alot of traq arrows and narcotics ALOT OF THEM bring prime meat when tamed get the saddle at level 74 i think or 71 tip for mobile players

How to tame a rex without (you might die) dying!

Make sure to have what you’re taming with like a longneck and tranq darts. Have a crossbow and a grapple. Maybe a flyer. Grapple onto the Rex’s back and make sure you’re all the way on there cause rex might go munch. Shoot the longneck with the tranq darts while grappled onto its back (THE LINE MUST BE VERY TIGHT SO YOU DONT ACCIDENTALLY GET BIT). Once the rex wants to run away you’ll lose the grapple on its back and you can just chase it around without having to worry about getting munched today!

You are faster if you are running you dont have to craft a iron bola just run away shoot it with narcosearrows .you only need 23 arrows its soo easy

Use 4 (metal) dino gates and a large bear trap. Put 3 down in a square but leave one side open. Lure the giga in then after he is stuck place the last metal dino gate behind the giga, then blast it with tranq arrows or darts.

If you have a mobile taming pen for large Dino’s such as Rex, Spino, or Therizinosaurus. Have a 2x3 space for the Dino and a 3x3 space for you to stop the Dino from hitting you and 1-5 shot you. Trust me. It’s happened to me by a lvl 150 Therizinosaurus. That thing one shot me.

Would recommend just using a crossbow and Tranq Arrows no need to waste darts. The strat I used for a tek lvl 114 was lead it to a cliff with an argent and shoot it from above. For the prime meat I just killed brontos waited then killed more.

Just lead these guys up to a hill they can’t get on and then pound them over and over like it called you the N-Word. When it is knocked, I’d recommend a friend going to highlands if on ragnarok and bring home and ovis on a raft OR if the bird has high Stam just fly back. Starve it until it need feeding and then boom! Nice red with good taming effectiveness.

For all my Rex tames I have used a good tapejara since you can land on trees and shoot off it in the redwoods. Just shoot and kill nearby thylas and then shoot the Rex from above. Then kill something (Prime meat is plentiful in redwoods) and tame your Rex!

If you are on the ragnarok map and find a Rex you want to tame near viking Bay, then the sketon then run Rex after you, then run around the rips. Then shot it while your at it thats how I tamed a level 21 tek Rex at level 29

I’d recommend taking in the northern biome if you’re on the island, there are a bunch of holes they get stuck in towards the eastern coast. The only issue with this is that there are a bunch of things that could come along and ruin your tame.
