If you put foundations under the reaper it can not burry. This way you can keep farming the same reaper for the best stats because every baby reaper, even if its from the same queen, will have different stats.

Somthing i just learned if u need to go offline while pregnant the pregnancy timer doesn't go count down when you're not on

Trap the reaper queen on foundations - that way it can't burrow after it impregnates you, and can do it again. This way, you can have multiple kings.

With the release of ASA Aberration, WildCard released an update making Reaper King baby levels based on a combination of player, mother and XP levels. I have worked out a rough formula for level distribution.

Reaper Queen Level + ( Player Level ÷ ( 155 ÷ Bonus Levels ) )

For example: A level 130 Queen, 91 player and 75 bonus Levels comes out to. (Current max attainable player level is 155, this may change with future expansions)

155 ÷ 75 = 2.0666~

91 ÷ 2.0666 = 44.046

130 + 44 ( rounded ) = Reaper King Level 174

Thanks to contributions of other tips, here is what I found useful:

1. You can gain bonus level XP while mounted. You do not need to run on foot to kill stuff while impregnated

2. Once the baby hatches and eats your body or dino body (if you use a pheromone), you can claim the baby then cryo it to prevent it from continuing to run. (This may be a bug)

don’t use the blood extraction syringe while pregnant it will remove the pregnancyy!!

So I will make this as simple as I possibly can so if you want one of these bad boys for one of your maps and you play single player then go to gen 2 now go to the Rockwell infected part of the map and then go to rockwells in are to find the cave area it’s in the middle part of the infected area so you go in to the boss terminal and look for a reaper queen they are bigger than the kings and have different tails so once you have found one bring it into the acid pool under the boss terminal the acid goes away and comes back every 2 minutes I think so then scan the queen with hlna and watch until it gets to 2k health then you have to lead it out of the acid pool and then it will do a sniff animation and then pick you up you will be at one health after it impregnates you so be careful leaving rockwells innards and then when the time comes make a box so the baby reaper can’t escape after you give birth if you want it to be a baby reaper immediately then cryopod it if you have one and want too welp there you go sorry it was so long ;)

Spend hours finding high level queen.

Get pregnant.

Give birth in base with walls as high as a behemoth gate.

Lose baby magically.

If you trap the reaper queen on foundations it can’t burry away after it impregnates you so the rest of your tribe can all get pregnant off one queen. Plus you can kill it once your done for some free levels on the baby <3

As of October 2020, you can transfer between servers without losing the baby. If you go to Crystal isles, you'll still have the baby but the timer will stop and will go back to normal once you travel back.

Drop everything, encumber yourself with food. Let the baby kill you, and you won't need to worry about watching it for all least a day. The 8 hour baby time means NOTHING

I know there's already like 1,000 of these tips but here's another with some extra info that I really wish I knew earlier! Keep in mind I still play ASE.

So first you need a light pet and a hazmat suit, basic stuff I won't get into. Find a high level reaper queen, I like to search specifically around the edge of the radiation zone so I can kite it into non-irradiated blue zone and wear better armor, then make a trap nearby (I highly recommend captain fatdog's/at least using double doors, and making sure that all the foundations are all decently above the ground).

Next, you're gonna need to go find the reaper queen again and kite her into the trap, then damage her until she's at less than 2,000HP, I recommend turning off your light pet (can be done through emotes in the whistle wheel!!) to do less damage when she's really low to reduce the chance of accidentally killing her. Then she'll glow pink and you can stand somewhat close, next to your PASSIVE tame so you can be climb back on when she's done. When she unaggroes to the trap, if you're standing in the sweet spot where she can't attack but she can still aggro to you, she'll crouch down with the little spines on her head twitching (If she doesn't do this, you're probably about to get knocked out, climb back on your tame), pick you up and impregnate you.

If you're doing this on a server with high growth/gestation rates, you can be impregnated multiple times with a box nearby to get multiple reapers with slightly different stats. If the queen gets out while you're leveling up, you can pretty easily trap her again if you chose a flat area. I managed to get one reaper with 24 melee and another with 30, plus 1 reaper with 35 health and another with 39. (For ASA you'll probably get much better stats since the speed stat was removed.) You can also drag out any friends or tribemates if you're on a server with lower gestation rates.

For the baby, I find that a 1x1 box works fine. If you have the Dino Storage mod/The ASA equivalent you can use the soul gun to easily pick up the baby, or fill your inventory with cooked meat and let it kill you (better on lower rate servers/officials).

Make sure you have some heals on you when the reaper queen impregnates you!!

I just looked at this things info n if u hit head shots you could knock it out with 20 tranqs prim cross bow why don’t people just knock it out and lower health while it’s asleep

If your finding low levels and don’t want to kill them. Kite them off a cliff and leave the render distance of said cliff and poof. They despawn and instantly respawn a new reaper. Once you find a good level (120) above for me. Try trapping it on foundations. That way when it impregnates you it won’t bury underground leaving you left to kill it and get max levels on the baby reaper. REC. use magnifying glass to see how low it’s health is. Health for impregnation should be below 2500. Then your ready!

12 hour pregnancy

7 hour 30 minute baby stage

Total maturation time 3 days 3 hours

Total time with pregnancy 3 days 15 hours

Baby reapers eat 6 stacks of cooked meal per hour.

45 stacks should be enough to account for spoilage until it's out of baby stage.

To feed baby reapers easier make an airlocked pen and get a though full of cooked meat in your inventory 5 minutes before it hatches. Use a pheromone gland 3 minutes before birth and then claim it and stay in it's inventory. Force feed it cooked meat as it bites you since biting you makes it lose food. Then once it kills you it should collect all 60 stacks into it's inventory. Use a gland to make sure and if not feed it until gland wears off and stand on your body so the reaper eats the body.

You need to turn off your lights or it wont impregnate you. That includes your shoulder pets

Here’s my way of taming a reaper in Ark survival EVOLVED:

Trap:

This trap is a design by Captain Fatdog, one of the easiest and most reliable ways to catch a Reaper. For a visual guide, search ‘Captain Fatdog Reaper Trap Ark Survival Evolved’ on YouTube — it should be the first result.

Trap Materials:

• 8 × Stone Triangle Foundations

• 8 × Stone Double Doorframes

• 6 × Stone Stairs

• 8 × Stone Triangle Ceilings

• 1–2 Charge Light sources (e.g. Lanterns)

Recommended Gear:

• Multiple Hazard Suits (Reapers shred durability fast)

• Magnifying Glass (to track health — must be ≤2k for impregnation)

• Pump-Action Shotgun (backup safety weapon)

• Light Pet (Nameless control)

• Strong Tame (Rock Drake is best, Spino is a good alternative)

• Riot Shield (to block Reaper attacks)

Process:

1. Use your tame to damage the Reaper Queen below 2k HP (I usually bring it down to ~1k so it doesn’t regen immediately).

2. Once she’s low, turn off Charge Lanterns but keep your light pet active. Position the light pet carefully — far enough to avoid weakening the Queen, but close enough to keep Nameless away.

3. Stand near the Queen with your shield raised until she picks you up. If she plans to impregnate, she’ll roar, sniff you, and then grab. (She can miss sometimes — be patient.)

4. After impregnation, immediately return to your tame and kill her to collect Reaper Pheromone Glands. Swap to a fresh Hazard Suit right after.

Aftercare:

• Build a 1×2 enclosed room (2 walls high + roof) for the birth.

• Eat a Pheromone Gland before the baby spawns.

• Aim for 75 (max) imprint to boost the baby’s level.

• Note: the Reaper’s level = Queen’s level + your imprint bonus.

• Baby will die instantly in radiation zones (during pregnancy), so keep it protected.
