These things are pretty good at hunting it’s own kind because it can pounce on smaller creatures or other raptors.

My first one i’ve ever had was named Steel and it fell off of a cliff, was attacked by a Sarco and a Titanoboa and it killed BOTH of them and its health didn’t even go down halfway.

Either your best friend or your worst enemy. I tamed one and it was a pretty fast mount. It is like the Parasaur but faster and smaller and a carnivore. Can leap on small creatures (or other players if you are on multiplayer) while wild ones bite you only four times when they pounce on you. You can order YOUR raptor to bite until the prey is dead.

The Raptor isn't completely useless compared to the Deinonychus, even though it has lower base speed, it gets 3% speed per level compared to the Deino's 1%. Max it's speed and set it on aggressive to pin players! (Imprint too if possible, it needs the bonus HP and speed)

As annoying as it may seem, the Raptor is a good early tame, so here is a guide. #1. The Raptor can spawn in the Desert, the Beach, the Jungle, and I think the Snow and Redwoods. To tame them is simple: find a raptor, bola it, and knock it out. Then put meat in its inventory, and there you go. The saddle unlocks at Level 18, and the bola at 7. #2. The raptor has 2 attacks: a standard bite, and a pounce that can jump on anything smaller than a human, including humans themselves! They also have a pack buff that I think gives any tamed raptor in the area a damage boost. Only the highest level raptor has this move. They also do a funny dance, which look like a baby bird wanting food. #3. Beware its speed thought, as it is fast, and in mobile will pounce you when it can. Also, if the raptor is red or white, and has an orange to red glow, stay away from it, as it is the alpha variant. It is twice as strong, and has twice the stats. Sadly, no alpha variant is tameable. Update on titan Mace, toast, and waylona, toast died and I got two new raptors . A level 40 named ash and toast the second, all of them except ash died fighting a bronto including my Parasaur (goat ) and dodo (Bowie ) now me and ash are doing photography invertebrates

The raptor is better in a pack if you didn't know

Even if you can’t ride them (if you have a lot of weight like me), these tames make great escorts. About 5 of them should do, but the more, the merrier.

Raptors often are called early Mount but I love it for mid game, especially when you leveled up speed and melee dmg cause they can get pretty strong

On Abb the FIRST thing you want to do is get yourself a moschops, gain some levels and as soon as possible, tame a raptor, this is especially useful in the portal room that has a lot of high level raptors but also has basilisks, up your speed to 120% to outrun raptors and use your raptor to kite and dangerous dinos to max level paracers or stegos and you basically have the ultimate weapon as long as you make sure your raptor has good stam and decent health, my level 200 has saved my butt from multiple basilisks now

I don’t care what anyone says about raptors they are op in my eyes mine is fully inprinted and is level 250 and can solo a alpha anytime and the maybe a few of them can even take down a overseer so pls dont them less credit because of the ones you find on the beach or forests pls give them a chance and you will see what I mean so and remember there name means big brain so if you use them you will be big brain so I hope you enjoyed my tip

If you have unlimited tribe members on your server recommend you tame 2 opposite gender and breed a ton of them also if your server has a max of 85 or 95 or 100 players on it becuase these guys can win a tribe war with ease if you have 80 of these guys with saddles for your tribe mates

People see these as useless once you get past around lvl 50 but leveled they are amazing. They attack super fast they can run and if you have a pack they shred alphas to pieces.

If you want a good raptor tame a decent FEMALE raptor then get a somewhat good male raptor mate them try to get a male baby raptor then level up as much as possible your male kid and. Hear me out mate the son and mom to get a godlike raptor. That little mofo killed brontos alone

Good army for start, mid game. I have tamed 20 between levels 3 and 29. We've taken down 6 Carnos, 8 brontos 8 therizinosaurus, 10 Chalicotherium, 8 sarcos, 10 raptors, 3 rexes and many more. Rip to Sally and Joe who i lost today. 😢. Good way to tame is a tranq arrow to the head.
