As annoying as it may seem, the Raptor is a good early tame, so here is a guide. #1. The Raptor can spawn in the Desert, the Beach, the Jungle, and I think the Snow and Redwoods. To tame them is simple: find a raptor, bola it, and knock it out. Then put meat in its inventory, and there you go. The saddle unlocks at Level 18, and the bola at 7. #2. The raptor has 2 attacks: a standard bite, and a pounce that can jump on anything smaller than a human, including humans themselves! They also have a pack buff that I think gives any tamed raptor in the area a damage boost. Only the highest level raptor has this move. They also do a funny dance, which look like a baby bird wanting food. #3. Beware its speed thought, as it is fast, and in mobile will pounce you when it can. Also, if the raptor is red or white, and has an orange to red glow, stay away from it, as it is the alpha variant. It is twice as strong, and has twice the stats. Sadly, no alpha variant is tameable. I tamed about 20 of them and killed a bronto in like two seconds.

When tamed, a raptor is a very fast and strong mount but they don't have very much carry weight. Level up weight, speed, and damage.
Must tame. I scorched earth i have a lvl 49 one named Nike and it saved my house from a lvl 66 tek rex don't ask me how. Early game like day 2 this happened.
There mainly used for speed but are usually in packs if you tame one you should tame atleast 3 others to make sure the pack has some real heavy damge but they can hold much weight keep that in mind
If you are taming raptors I would recommend taming around 3-5 raptors if you can. Raptors are a great way of quick transportation because if you are traveling with your group of raptors it can easily kill any decent threat if you use them right. I would recommend choosing the best raptor and making the other raptors follow it.
Donβt listen to that goofy ahh lvl 20 uncle who said that there isnβt pack buff on mobile, yes there is itβs just not on raptors or compys the ones I know that have pack buff on mobile itβs allosaurus and dire wolves

Raptors are essentially better Dilos. Whe lacking the poisonous blinding spit of a Dilo, they have a much better DPS due to their speed. In groups of three or more they benefit from a pack boost, and in groups of at least four I notice they tend to take on bigger threats on the Ark (notably Sarcos and Kapros). Plus their pounce ability is not to be overlooked.
In short, tame Dilos for the early game, but Raptors as you move into mid game.
