These things are beasts, and relatively easy to tame too. Just a small pack of around 2-4 can take on a medium-high level carno, have decent hp, make for a fast mount, have a pounce attack that works on most things smaller than it, and also a pack buff. Also will slow spoil timers for meat in their inventory, and all this is before considering imprinting or stat mutations.

For those who don't know, on mobile if you swipe down will riding a raptor you will do the pounce jump.

The raptor DOES fit through METAL and WOODEN door frames. But he DOES NOT fit through STONE door frames. Don't ask why, it is like that. I updated my trap from stone to metal and suddenly all the raptors can escape. 😂

Tame these early in the game! They are amazing to have.

I say wildcard should make a tek saddle for this in ark 2 if it it has tek that makes this faster and gives it a small mini gun on it as well as a increased weight thing on it.

All tek variant creatures drop the same amount of resources, although parasaurs are tempting because they are weak and passive, raptors are smaller and therefore much efficient for tek farms

Wild raptors are THE WORST. I was taming a theriz and two of these things came out of NOWHERE and killed the theriz. Although, I tamed one of the raptors…

This idiot killed the level 300 quetz knocked out on the ground that wasted many tranq darts with an argy

YOOOO what is up guys QWERTY here just saying these things can pounce on some creatures like moschops as far as I know. I might tast out the pounce a bit more. Also, on mobile, you need to swipe down on the left side of the screen to initiate pounce.

It is not hard to breed an entire army of these guys. All you need are two raptors to make an entire army.

When you are riding them u can have them pounce and u can jump off and they will still hold for a few more seconds

As annoying as it may seem, the Raptor is a good early tame, so here is a guide. #1. The Raptor can spawn in the Desert, the Beach, the Jungle, and I think the Snow and Redwoods. To tame them is simple: find a raptor, bola it, and knock it out. Then put meat in its inventory, and there you go. The saddle unlocks at Level 18, and the bola at 7. #2. The raptor has 2 attacks: a standard bite, and a pounce that can jump on anything smaller than a human, including humans themselves! They also have a pack buff that I think gives any tamed raptor in the area a damage boost. Only the highest level raptor has this move. They also do a funny dance, which look like a baby bird wanting food. #3. Beware its speed thought, as it is fast, and in mobile will pounce you when it can. Also, if the raptor is red or white, and has an orange to red glow, stay away from it, as it is the alpha variant. It is twice as strong, and has twice the stats. Sadly, no alpha variant is tameable. These guys are cute but deadly tame them immediately you can ride them and kill a therozenosaurus

I was gonna tame my first raptor,

And i knocked it out and when i was putting food in his inventory ,

My dilophosaur came and killed it😭

These things are pretty good at hunting it’s own kind because it can pounce on smaller creatures or other raptors.

My first one i’ve ever had was named Steel and it fell off of a cliff, was attacked by a Sarco and a Titanoboa and it killed BOTH of them and its health didn’t even go down halfway.
