If your investing in hunting raptors (it's good to tame them aswell) then I recommend you bola it and the spear it to death... or arrow it......or...uhhh bull-et it to.. uhh death.. yah know what just kill it with whatever you have.be smart and use certain weapons depending on its level.

If a raptor starts attacking your flyer do not spam the ride button because you can get up and then immediately get off and then your whole family will die and your hope for getting more flyers will also die and you will die inside as well so keep that in mind.

Never tame it I was on a rock and there were rapters everywhere

One of them went away then a few minutes after a trex was chasing it went for me the rapter making the trex go for me and kill me

My dilophosauras wont attack it, and so does the raptor. I really want my dilo back but it keeps going near a raptor.

The reason why the dilo is even there is because, when I had a parasaur and a dilo, I found a raptor in the middle of taming the said parasaur and balo'd it but the dilo killed the raptor before I can knock it out with a club (I didn't have a tranq arrow at the time) so I decided to look for a raptor, and found a pack, but it looked like 2 at first and I had 3 balos, so I thrown one at one raptor and missed, and tried again and hit, and missed with the other raptor, another raptor came in and fought me, My parasaur was fighting the raptors for a long time while dilo is just sitting there like "wait, those are my friends!"

Altho I'm not sure because I died before that so..

I tried to get my loot back over and over and I died to everything on the way, EVERY FREAKING THING!

Later when the loot prob despawned I saw my dilo, still alive and I was shocked, and thought to myself, how did they survive that many raptors?

But then I found another raptor and got killed by it and I didn't see it attacking the raptor..

Yeah that's how dangerous these guys are in early game when you are heavily unprepared or have too little guard dogs.

That's how unfamiliar I am at ark in pc.

If any one is about to be pounced by one these simply pull out a sword and wack away works great. (Though having a tame as backup makes the job easier)

When encountering an unwanted raptor, run past or behind a latge herbivore (best examples would be triceratops and carbonemys, both of which are very common). Run away if you are looking for safety, or you can make sure the raptor is dead. Very easy way to farm weapons from raptors.

Alright if your new or don’t have enough stuff to fight these guys here a tip to escape them

#1 run and jump I found that most of the time that they can’t get you if going down a hill or over objects

#2 go underwater as deep as you can they won’t be able to get you

#3 for all land Dino’s go under water for aquatic Dino’s go on land and for flyers go underwater (Barry can go on land and in water same for sarcos )

Be carefull i just spent about 2 hours looking for a rapter i had 50 traq arows and around 30 to 40 narqotics and as im exploring one jumps behind mart and i die the morall of the story is " they can be power full from behind time to stary again yay"

Always carry bolas I had just tamed a taprjara and got off my argy to get meat and two rapper started attacking me I hit one with a bola while it was running at me and then got his buddy and made a James bond type escape back to my base 38th my bird's

The quickest way is with a rifle and tranq arrow if you don’t have then you can just use tranq arrows and a crossbow or bow I ussualy knock out creatures then kill them sometimes one shot with a rifle and dart and it will run away and be knocked out it won’t have a chance to get to you

People who die to these are definitely beach bobs. You only need Bola.

So I just started right and ever time I would spon in the same spot over and over and would get jumped by it and every time 10 times in a row I would poop my pans

The alpha raptor is ez

I killed one in like 6 shots from my longneck rifle (It’s a mastercraft with like 500 damage but did like 400 to it)

So yeah. I didn’t even get a full level from it tho

I had a lvl 190 raptor and lvl 135 raptor I took them with me in a journey to the redwoods on the way I was hunting I used the raptor special attack on ants and I went underground and suddenly got teleported to the redwoods

NEW PLAYERS BEWARE if you are looking to tame one then keep your distance and use tranq arrows. This might be upsetting for some because you don’t have tranq arrows yet but you can use a bola instead. Also you don’t need narcotics for it. And before you know it you will be taming a rex! When all of a sudden you are being eaten alive by the islands most annoying..

I hate this thing so much that I raised an army of dodos to kill them. They deserve this humiliating death.

How to get rid of a raptor

Step one get a raptor on your tail

Step 2 hope you got the bole engram if you have the materials make one hope you got some levels in crafting speed

Step 3. Bola the raptor

Step 4 kill it with a pike or bow

If you want to tame one here

Step one find a good level raptor like lvl 15 or 10

Step 2 knock it out with bow or crossbow with Tranqs if you have any

Step 3 give it prime or regular meat if you don’t have prime

Step 4 bring naracotics just in case

Step 5 you should have a raptor get a saddle and boom ez starter

And if it does not work try again! But try it in your way of taming
