So this thing is a beast it can pounce.Me and my pteranodon almost died from a pack. Be careful near these guys i now have an argy and sometimes i pick the Raptors up using the argy and attack them. They still bite tho so i try to kill them with my argy as fast as I can.So yeah alpha tho i just try to run away.I do have my own raptor which i dont use as much but still care about.Thats my encounters for these guys :p

If you tame one of these in the south of The Island than get out of there fast because: I just tamed a raptor with Tintoberry (my carbenemys) then I was ready to get back but I was first checking for danger but I didn’t see any. But then out of sudden NOWHERE an ALLO PACK jumped out at us and ripped Tintoberry apart. Then my raptor I just tamed started fighting to and got ripped apart. And that’s how I lost Tintoberry and Lime :,(

I was walking around with my otter (level 246) and I encountered a alpha Raptor and It’s pack my otter full on slayed the raptors and lost almost no health in the process

WHY DOES EVERYBODY KEEP CALLING THEM VELOCIRAPTORS??? THESE ARE UTAHRAPTORS, VEKOCIRAPTOR WERE THE SIZE OF A PLUMP TURKEY WITH A TWO-METER LONG TAIL!

This is if you encounter a an alpha raptor near the shore. The best option I've found is to use a longneck rifle with a scope. Dump all your things into a raft with a chest, once you're stripped attract the alpha raptor to the edge of the shore and let it kill you.Respawn on or near your raft with all your things and take it out to the raptor but maintain a far enough distance that it doesn't chase after you. from there croutch so you get a steady shot and use the longneck and scope to shoot at it. It depends on the level but I managed to take out a level 10 with this strategy. Make SURE YOU HAVE LOTS OF AMMO. Good luck friends.

If you are on small mount like sabertooth then make circle movemeny to fight them. They cant grab you but you can attack them easly.of course its depend level of your dino and raptor.

K, I know that when I look through Dododex I’m looking for easy to understand tips, so. I highly recommend taming these once you have acces to bolas because they are AMAZING protectors. Bola it’s legs, knock it out with a club and put at least 20 pieces of meat in its inventory. Just be sure to watch out for more than one.

1. Get: Sleeping bolas and darts 2. Find raptor/s 3. Throw a bola 4. Throw sleeping arrows so the raptor goes to sleep 5. Put food in his inventory 6. And here you go, you have a raptor! 😘

Getting the high ground on a raptor has been a popular choice for me when taming them. There not to hard to tame and useful for getting around and killing other Dino’s or mammals

10 tranq arrows

(or)

1-2 tranq darts

How to tame.

1. Use bola

2. Shove it full of narcotic arrows.

3. Shove it full of meat.

4. (If necessary), Shove it full of narcotics.

There you go, you got a raptor

I was almost about to tame a beautiful female tapejara that had different shades of green but that’s when two of these raptors came and finished it off while it was sleeping😔 but then I accidentally dismounted my flyer and one jumped onto me and started biting my face but that’s when my fly(a pteradon) attack the raptor so the raptor died and I knocked out the other one and my flyer killed it when it was knocked out, as I will say, Teamwork makes the dream work😍 tho now I gotta find another lv 19 tapejara that has 9+ levels once tamed 😔

For some reason, if you’re using the on-screen buttons on mobile, hold the attack button with a tool/melee weapon before the raptor pins you. You’ll still be attacking it, and it can’t dodge because it can’t move. Easy way to kill raptors, if you aren’t afraid to take damage. No idea if/how this works for the KO.

Just find a single one and bola it, then a couple tranq arrows should work, feed it normal or prime meat its easier to obtain and your gonna wanna save the other stuff

Just tame a male and a female, breed them, tame others when you can and breed them too, and soon you will have an army

These guys are the reason you should always have a stack of bolas and have them in your hand while you're wandering around. Taming is just that. Bola, shoot a few tranq darts to the head and it will go down easy. Make sure to kill the rest of its pack first as they like to travel in packs

Raptors can climb rocks and it is like an instinct to climb rocks when there is danger

Be a true warrior and knock it out with your fists

I was at level 11 when I tamed my first raptor and I did the usual but used a slingshot and I was able to knock out a level 7 TEK RAPTOR!! I looked it up and tek raptors are rare to find I called her robotics she’s black and red, I’m very proud of my lucky find, hope y’all get a tek raptor to!
