When you see a raptor bola it and knock it out.

[MOBILE] I consider raptors a must have tame at early game. A decent level raptor will help you start clearing caves and a pack of them will allow you to delete bigger stronger predators. And, for as long as they don't pounce, taming them is a breeze.

You gonna need: 1 bola, 40 raw meat (a lvl 150 raptor needs just 26 to be tamed, that's being generous) 10 tranq arrows if using crossbow and 20 if using bow.

Get close enough for them to agro on you, start spinning your bola, throw it when they're close enough to be guaranteed hit. Shoot tranqs at them, AIM FOR THE HEAD, you'll save arrows and time.

After knocking them out, check they hunger stat, you wanna wait until it's less than half. Go do something useful and come back later. When it finally is below half, give them the raw and the taming meter will be full in seconds. Now just it home and love it.

These things are like the alpha of all the early game tames. They are great pack dinos, they can jump, and, if you want one of these and you’re a starter, all you need is to find a low level one, get a bola and club, and beat it till it’s knocked out.

Get it’s attention by shooting it with a bow and stone arrow. Next, as it is charging at you, pull out a bola and when it gets close, bola it. Then, hit it with tranq arrows. (3-7) Finally, the easy way to take it is narcroberries and raw meat.

Use a bola and hit it with a club

The Raptor isn't completely useless compared to the Deinonychus, even though it has lower base speed, it gets 3% speed per level compared to the Deino's 1%. Max it's speed and set it on aggressive to pin players! (Imprint too if possible, it needs the bonus HP and speed)

If your low level and get attacked by a raptor, craft a spear and go underwater and stab it while swimming away

Bola then hit from the side with a club.

This cannot be screwed up unless you walk into its face.

Raptors are basically devils in packs up to 5, but you rarely see any more than that. If you see one and you want to tame it,use a bola.Its not worth it to use stronger.What i do, if i want the females i just take out the males.The good thing with raptors is that they stay in a pack so you can keep an eye on them all at once.

As annoying as it may seem, the Raptor is a good early tame, so here is a guide. #1. The Raptor can spawn in the Desert, the Beach, the Jungle, and I think the Snow and Redwoods. To tame them is simple: find a raptor, bola it, and knock it out. Then put meat in its inventory, and there you go. The saddle unlocks at Level 18, and the bola at 7. #2. The raptor has 2 attacks: a standard bite, and a pounce that can jump on anything smaller than a human, including humans themselves! They also have a pack buff that I think gives any tamed raptor in the area a damage boost. Only the highest level raptor has this move. They also do a funny dance, which look like a baby bird wanting food. #3. Beware its speed thought, as it is fast, and in mobile will pounce you when it can. Also, if the raptor is red or white, and has an orange to red glow, stay away from it, as it is the alpha variant. It is twice as strong, and has twice the stats. Sadly, no alpha variant is tameable. Here is a tip for efficiently dealing with raptors on foot.

You need:

1x Bow

3x Bolas (for a pack)

15x arrows

While the raptor charges towards you throw the bola at it. While it's immobilized pull your bow to about a quarter way, as this will shoot faster than pulling to full. Spam the quarter way strategy for really fast arrows? This should shred through most raptors.

This also works for other creatures!

Update on titan Mace, toast, and waylona, toast died and I got two new raptors . A level 40 named ash and toast the second, all of them except ash died fighting a bronto including my Parasaur (goat ) and dodo (Bowie ) now me and ash are doing photography invertebrates

You can tame this early game at lowly level 8 using bola

Your certificate you got from band camp will not help you

bola it then go to its butt and whack it with a club. use those dodos to your left and boom you got a raptor. tamed a lvl 174 tek raptor like this i think you can handle it

I am having a very hard time taming a Raptor right now because when I bolla it as soon as I hit or shoot it it escapes the bola and attacks me normally killing me even when it has ten bolas around it’s legs so The only way I am able to tame it is by standing on rocks and shooting at it from there . I am playing on an island by myself at the easy level if that helps.

Just build a small stone shed near a raptor/raptors, make them follow you in there bola them if needed. Get out of shed, close door and just slingshot them till knocked out, and go back in and tame them. Stone shed all with windowed walls ofcourse.
