Just build a small stone shed near a raptor/raptors, make them follow you in there bola them if needed. Get out of shed, close door and just slingshot them till knocked out, and go back in and tame them. Stone shed all with windowed walls ofcourse.

Raptors are basically devils in packs up to 5, but you rarely see any more than that. If you see one and you want to tame it,use a bola.Its not worth it to use stronger.What i do, if i want the females i just take out the males.The good thing with raptors is that they stay in a pack so you can keep an eye on them all at once.

As annoying as it may seem, the Raptor is a good early tame, so here is a guide. #1. The Raptor can spawn in the Desert, the Beach, the Jungle, and I think the Snow and Redwoods. To tame them is simple: find a raptor, bola it, and knock it out. Then put meat in its inventory, and there you go. The saddle unlocks at Level 18, and the bola at 7. #2. The raptor has 2 attacks: a standard bite, and a pounce that can jump on anything smaller than a human, including humans themselves! They also have a pack buff that I think gives any tamed raptor in the area a damage boost. Only the highest level raptor has this move. They also do a funny dance, which look like a baby bird wanting food. #3. Beware its speed thought, as it is fast, and in mobile will pounce you when it can. Also, if the raptor is red or white, and has an orange to red glow, stay away from it, as it is the alpha variant. It is twice as strong, and has twice the stats. Sadly, no alpha variant is tameable. If you are go to tame a raptor at night, make a distance because they will attack suddenly so, make a distance to dodge his attack and go to a perfect place to tame a raptor.

how to tame a raptor for beginners!

step 1:craft a few bolas(about 3) in case u miss or there is a pack

step 2:stand on a high rock (make sure the raptor can’t climb up)

step 3:throw the bola

step 4:shoot with tranq arrow+bow/crossbow

step 5:feed it raw meat or kibble(recommended for higher lvls)

kibbles:simple or parasaur kibble

step 6: get a raptor saddle and u have a beast now:)

WARNINGS: the raptor is very fast and can pounce on u

u might need bio toxin/narcotics/narco berry if higher lvl

Use a Pteranodon and fly above it, just out of reach of the jump. Lure it into a small dino trap, maybe 2 by 2, with a dinosaur gate, regular sized, and doorframes for walls so you can get out. Find one and single it out because typically they’re in packs of 3-4. When it’s chasing you, bola it because it runs ina straight line. Then it should be easy to knock it our with a club, slingshot, or even fists depending on level. Or use about 1-3 tranq arrows on a low level and more for a high level

Get a bola and use it on the raptor and knock it out with club and raptors are great for beginners because you unlock bola at lvl7 and club at lvl2

If people say these things are easy to tame or kill DO NOT LISTON my base was attacked by 2 trike that killed all my dinos and i spawned at my other bed and my trike was under attack by a raptor my trike died then the raptor was after me i opened the door when it circled off and found out it was 3 or 4 raptors all my dinos were dead and i was trapped i had to delete the server

If you see a pack of raptors then don’t get close. If you want to tame them, I suggest bringing a longneck rifle or fabricated sniper rifle with 50-70 tranq darts and a group of 10 dilos. After you found your pack of raptors, get the high ground and shout “it’s over raptors, I have the high ground” and open fire. Keep in mind, aim for the head. Up this if it was useful.

1 shot of a pistol and the raptor is dead but 2 shots of a Trank arrow will noc it

Taming Raptors

Step 1:climb on a high rock with a bola if you can get one.

Step 2: Use the bola and shoot with narc arrows or a slingshot.

Step 3: It should be knocked out so give it raw meat or raw prime meat.

Final Step: Wait for it to be tamed and you have a new raptor.

If you see a raptor while flying on a pteranodon or argentavis just go up cos they will knock you of with their pounce and then its night night survivor.
