These creatures have insane speed and are able to out run a new player. The ones I’m near spawn near beach’s because there’s lots of things to kill there. Anyways back to the tip. Raptors CAN live in packs but some are alone, try to find a alone raptor. You don’t need much to tame one, go ahead and get a few narcotics and raw meat. Stand on a rock and wait for it to come to your fire range. Shoot the animal, once it’s down feed it raw meat and wait. Congrats you tamed a raptor! You can up it’s speed so it’s a speed demon, or something else. Raptors have a alt attack that it can jump on small prey and rip it apart. Saddles are worth it, don’t carry to many items though. Use kibble, since it's only parasaur kibble, it's easy to get and well worth it so knock out a high level and just use kibble.

In aberration and on mobile these bluds can pounce you off your mount.

I would recomend a stego to fend against these guys on aberration and on mobile as they can’t get dismounted

Super easy tame! So all you have to do is get some bolas, and find a raptor. Oh and also have a couple tranq arrows to knock out. Try and stay away from packs and try to find a single one. Wait till it runs at you and bola it from a fair distance. Then shoot it with tranq arrows. It won't take many. Then feed it meat or kibble. When tamed equip your saddle! Hope this helped : )

Got a raptor attack hide in a swamp and gets an anduconda to follow you and get them to fight

They cost 24-48 amber to revive, the 2nd highest revive cost for a wild creature and the same as a giga so it's not really that worth it if you wanna tame an eerie raptor.

At one point I found a alpha tek raptor but when I tried to spawn a alpha tek raptor myself it did not work

When I first saw a raptor that was surrounded in red smoke I thought it was on fire so it would be weaker. I attack it and it kills me. Turns out it was an alpha raptor. Remember this so you don’t make my mistake.

Fun fact the raptors in ark aren't Velociraptors they're Utahraptors

can fit through doorframes, unless they have a door aswell then they can fit through, need a door on the doorframe so they cant get through

Make sure to scope it out BEFORE attempting to kill or tame. If you enter an area that you saw it previously and no longer see it it may have hid to pounce on you. They can and will sneak behind you and surprise attack you. Make sure you see it from outside of its detection range, prepare a bola, get close enough to bola it, and then pelt it with a couple tranq arrows. DO NOT turn your Dino’s on peaceful until AFTER you’ve bolaed it. If it sneaks up on you or another one sneaks up on you the only way your getting out of a pounce attack is with Dino support. These are great hunters and defenders but that means that when taming there must be extra caution and your eyes but always be on them in the taming process. It’s an easy bola and two tranqs but they are crafty and will ese you alive if you do it wrong.

If your lvl 10 and find one of these being oversized and having a red aura then run as fast as your little stamina lets you run cuz you just encountered an alpha and it WILL hunt you down

How to tame a raptor:

Get 5 bolas and a slingshot (if u haven't reached lvl 21 yet) with 50 rocks or more. do NOT use the baseball bats cuz they are close range and the raptor can easily pounce on you. after you knock it out you need to shove the meat into it's throat. Defend it while it's taming and here you go you now have a bodyguard.

You can tame several Tek Raptor's with 4 males and 20 females and make a slaughter house that produces electronics, oil, scrap metal and element dust. It's money in the bank.
