Tips & Strategies
Make sure to scope it out BEFORE attempting to kill or tame. If you enter an area that you saw it previously and no longer see it it may have hid to pounce on you. They can and will sneak behind you and surprise attack you. Make sure you see it from outside of its detection range, prepare a bola, get close enough to bola it, and then pelt it with a couple tranq arrows. DO NOT turn your Dinoโs on peaceful until AFTER youโve bolaed it. If it sneaks up on you or another one sneaks up on you the only way your getting out of a pounce attack is with Dino support. These are great hunters and defenders but that means that when taming there must be extra caution and your eyes but always be on them in the taming process. Itโs an easy bola and two tranqs but they are crafty and will ese you alive if you do it wrong.
More Raptor Taming & KO Tips
Here is a easy way to tame this creature
1. Get a few bolas (just in case you miss or a thereโs a pack)
2. Get meat
3. Find and bola raptor
4. Knock out with club/fists
5. Put meat in inventory
Boom! now you have a raptor!
Step 1= Bola raptor or climb on high rock
Step 2= Tranq out (recommend tranq arrows etc)
Step 3= make sure not other baddies in area
Step 4= wait for the hunger to go about half way down
Step 5= after waiting give raw meat,mutton,prime,kibble etc

Tame a few 150's, breed them, and you'll be Chris Pratt in no time.

Taming the raptor is easy
Just get
A bola
Some meat
Club
Narcotics 2 or bio toxin
Just go to the raptor bola it
Then beat it with club
Give it meat
And narco or toxin
And boom you have a raptor

When I was new in Ark and killed multiple times by Raptor, so I decided to tame one. I bring bola, narcotic, meat and started searching for it. I found him and try to bola but missed and he killed. Again I try bola, missed and killed for 5-6 times then I thought I cannot bola him. I climbed on rock and try to tranquize. He was very fast I missed some arrow and hits a lot of tranq arrow and killed multiple times in this process. Finally I killed him just by using tranq. After a lots of day I understand that Raptor was an Alpha and cannot be tamed ๐ฅฒ
if you want to tame a raptor but canโt find one spawn in south zone 3
Thereโs tons of raptors
and to tame them
1. craft some bolas
2. find a raptor
3. knock out with bat/tranq arrow
4. get meat and put in inventory
They are the best starter tames if u live in danger areas I had a pair of them I breed them and now I have 6 I killed 2 high level allosourus and 3 therizino and 3 spino with them they are op of u breed right ones
