To take these the easiest way is to use a snow owl freez it and build a trap around it then it can’t run away.

Dive bomb with snow owl freeze to force qeutzal to the ground then while frozen you can place dino gates to trap.

2 guys on a tapejara with lots of tranqs. The tapejara keeps up with the quetzal easy.

On Extinction if you and a friend have a snow owl one of you can freeze it in the sky and the other one can either trap it or knock it out once it is on the ground. (Try leading it into the city first so nothing kills the quetzals.

Very easy way to obtain one of these SOLO in mobile is to first build a large cage containing a revival platform (engram or tribute). Then take a fast flier with an attack/speed pteranodon following. When you find the quetzal you want, whistle the pteranodon to attack and kill the quetzal, then whistle back to neutral. Descend to the dead quetzal, retrieve its implant, and revive it at your platform for a very convenient tame. No need to fire even a single shot at it in the wild. Just be quick to retrieve its implant before something eats it.

Best way to solo tame this is to use a griffin and follow and shoot it with tranq darts.

Find a really low level one to start with then it will be easzier to tame higher level ones

It's only an idea i think with rare flowers you can attract them to a behemoth trap like what we do with the wyverns to get her milk

If u eat rare flower the quetzals will chases so u can lure it into a trap/wyvern trap

You can solo tame a quetzal by using a longneck rifle or crossbow on a Griffin. It's easier if you stay above them and look down.

If you're looking to solo tame, don't even bother using a chain bola, speaking from experience. You'll only get like one dart in before it breaks free and flies far away from your precious mountain as you squeal in pain. Stick to the argent method you see all over. Grapple onto an argent and repeatedly whistle to attack and whistle passive to chase it around and tranq it, or hope it somehow gets stuck and tranq it in the butt.

You can easy solo tame one with a tapejara. Just sit on the front seat and whistle attack this target. If you come to close just whistle passive.

Just used over 120 tranq darts and it didn't knock out. So stupid

Get yourself a Tapejara if you want to solo-tame a Quetzal. Move the "attack target" command and the passive command on two keys of your choice. Bring a scope with you and whisper attack the target. If the Tapejara is close to the Quetz whisper passive and start shooting tranq arrows at it until its downed. Its a bit tricky first, but if you figure the timings out its very easy to execute. If its downed build a small house around it so it wont get killed ;)

Get a griffin and follow behind the Quetz. Then shoot it with tranq darts. This is the most efficent way i have found.

Just have a buddy pick you up with an argy, I tamed a lvl 44 with around 30 tranq darts, didn't land for stamina once and my argy has 1,500 stamina
