You should get a grappler and attatch it to the quetz and start shooting it if you fall just in case get a parachute

Took more shocking darts than listed. 145 quetz took 20x shocking darts as headshots. No misses. Mastercraft rifle. Dodoedex showed 6x headshots.

Freeze it with a snow owl, and then build gates to trap it. Easiest tame ever.

Tek Quetzals require double of what it states. I wasted over 100 tranq darts and 40 tranq arrows and 60 narcotics on a 168 tek quetz. Dododex claimed it would only need 78 darts and no narcos. (X7 taming and 2 consumption multiplier). Keep in mind tek are stronger versions of the regular version.

Maybe too lazy to kill quetz and leave render? Go to red obelisk. Fly away, Tidy Save which removes all dinos out of render except tames. Then go to the sand area near red obelisk and wait for a quetzal to spawn. And thats how i tamed a 140 female quetzal, it was soo worth it! Also i realized that quetzals speed limit without ascendant creatures unlock is 200.0% By the way i tamed the 140 quetzal on a griffin with a journeyman crossbow with tranq arrows, it took over 100 arrows.

These things have low troipidy so give it bio toxin. ;)

When you find one grab an argy and attack it until it flies away, then wait for it to get out of sight then follow it and it will have slowed down and repeat. When it’s dead let it fall and go collect it’s implant then revive it at the revival platform with stone walls and a roof and you got your self a big Quetz

I have tamed him with parachute,grappling hook and argentavis. I took my argent flew to the quetzal jumped off used parachute shot my argent with grappling hook command him to attack the quetzal a started shooting at him. I think this is one of the easiest ways to tame him

Sit on the Tapejara,set that Quetzal as target and go to second or third part of saddle,now you can easily knock out Quetzal with tranq darts or tranq arrows.

Don't knock out Quetzal over Red Woods or swamps,I lost here 4 Quetzals.They are spawning in Mobile nearby red obelisk,that is best taming location.

Use low atk flying unit,jump down then use parashoot the graple hook on the flyer then attack wistle then knock it out. Just dont use tranc arrow you might kill it...

Use a snow owl, freeze it mid air then place dinos gates to trap it

Try making the Quetzal bump to the cliff I think it will be like mission “IMPOSSIBLE” But it turns out I make it bump to the red ob’s cliffs and I knockout it so if you us this tip it’s way easier I guess!

Saw a buddy of mine jump onto it's back from a Griffin an tame it

I would recommend chasing them on a griffin and shoot it with toxican arrows on mobile

Dododex lies it takes like 10x the amount of tranq stated to knock out

Kill it out and revive and trap it at an obelisk.

The best way to solo tame it is get on the passenger seat of a tapejara and do whistle attack my target and just pelt it in the head with darts

To solo tame this creature use a tek chest piece and tek leggings and fly up to it and start shooting tranq arrows or just use a griffin and the same strategy, if you have someone with you than you can just use a griffin or tapejara and shoot from its back.
