When taming a quetz solo, without quetz, the best way is to guide it towards mountains and get it stuck, sometimes doesnt work though and you have ti deal with the wildlife

Use a griffin and shocking darts then starve tame it with Rex kibble

If you ever preform the Miracle of getting this giant down, good luck going through the hell of tamming it while aggressively protecting it from carnivores

Using a griffin to solo tame makes knocking these out very very easy. Simply follow in the griffin and tranq it while you’re following since you can shoot a crossbow from the driver seat of a griffin.

To solo tame a quetzal easily you will need a high level scorpion and a argentavis.set the scorpion to agressive and pick it up with your argy and fly over the quetzal and the scorpion will eventually attack and knock it out.

You CAN tame this by carrying a scorpion with an argy but it will take long.

If you are late game or in a fibercraft then get a hover skiff and trap the quetz with your skiff then put you skiff on hover, get off and shoot it with shocking tranqs

get griffin,fly griffin, pull out longneck, tranq quetzal....that easy

Bloodstalkers to use to hang on the quetzal , net gun to net it to the ground and reaper to use acid attack to ground the quetzal because the attack grounds fliers constantly.

Just shoot it with a dodo arrow (unlocks at level 42) and it should agro you, you don't even need a Tapejara or a griffin for this, all you need is a Pteronodon, parachute and a trap (The trap is optional) and just fly up to it, jump off your Pteronodon and activate the parachute then shoot it with the dodo arrow. While it is agro just keep shooting it with either a crossbow with toxicant/tranq arrows or a long neck rifle with tranq darts. Just make sure you don't go near water because the Quetz might fall in and drown when it gets knocked out. Happy Quetz taming

It said it would take around 80 darts to knock out, but I shot about 200 darts for a level 140.

This giant bird rarely spawns near obelisk you can find them near red woods volc etc they can travel to all area of the map but i rwccomend going obelisk to find this big bird best way to tame this is to use tapejara use tranq darts for better torpor if it falls on water your unlucky just find new one cause water predator will kill you when taming

If u have a griffin just stay on it’s back and tell your griffin to attack and just follow it until u take it down
