I Used A Griffin For Amy Tame As You Can Shoot Off Their Back And Move At The Same Time. Basically Just Follow Them With Your Griffin And Boom! There’s Your New Flying Chicken Boi

Even using kibble to tame it is a massive committment. Make sure you; have a ton of narcotics, a lot of kibble, and that you're totally unprepared to actually knock it out

My friend and I went to tame one of these suckers and we were on a pteranodon the pteranodon only fell asleep once. But remember just be consistent even with tranq arrows on a journeymen crossbow and over 100 arrows.

If ur on mobile just tame a low level tapejara and gen on the pssager seat.Put the tapejara to atack and it will never catch up (if u leveled the tapejara speed just wistle passive and then atack again only if u think. the tape will kill it) One more important tip bring spike walls they are cheap and do a good job at keeping it safe. Also bring narcotis or biotoxin bc it has fast torpor drain

I am so mad I had made kibble and got narcotics and saw a black quetzal and I tried have my tapejara follow it and it would not follow I had her on you target and she would not budge then I just tried shooting it and then try and chase it down but it would just take to long can anyone tell me why my tapejara won’t follow the quetzal?

The easiest way to tame a Quetzin Ark(mobile), find a flat area and place a revive platform and build walls 4 high around and cover it with roofs, preferably somewhere near your base. Go to the red obi there are 2 spawns there sometimes you’ll only find 1. One spawns on the mini islands and one near the obi. Kill the low level ones and MAKE sure to eat it so new ones would spawn after fly 450m+ and keep checking the same spots. Keep doing that till you find a good level kill it and grab the implant. Go to your revive cage and revive it there, note it’s going to cost 35 amber but trust me it’s totally worth it. Rather then it getting unconscious and having a chance for a braindead dinosaur to hit it and loose the level gains, you’ll secure yourself a perfect quetz. Good luck 😉

Stop wasting your time trying to chase these guys with your longneck you will never catch them. The easiest way to tame the king of the air 👑 is to fly close to them using a PT or RG then dismount and use a Sinomacrops to land on there back. Once on their back, aim for their eye and unload your darts (or arrows) into their regal face. Make sure they are not above water when you knock them out. (Trust me I've done it multiple times. 😭) Congrats you can now take your first (or second?) Quets.

You could easily knock one out riding on the back of a desmodus, with good aim and control of your mount that is.

first TAME griffin or tapejara and tame low level quetzal and second if you tame quetzal buy in store saddle and buy saddle platform or if you have it and you have and build in trap to the platform fly it trap it the quetzal in the trap platform saddle

You can grapple hook them but once you shoot them it makes you ungrapple

I tried on tame one but I can’t find one so 10 minutes later I found one but then I put a net on it and it fell down right next to a Rex and the Rex Ate it.

How to tame a LOW LEVEL Quetzal:

1:Kill a quetzal

2:get it’s implant

3 revive them in a closed space

4 :knock it out

5: put food and narcotics or biotoxins

6: wait

7:wait more(feed it a narcotic or a biotoxin every minute)

8: you have a quetzal!

The easiest way to tame is to fly close to it with a Tapejara, shoot it down with an Apprentice or MasterCraft Longneck Rifle, and revive at the Red Obelisk after you build a trap. Stealing it's egg will not make it aggro I already tried

I just used a wyvern unmounted shot then unmounted again over and over took about 40 tranq darts with a master craft long neck with 179 damage but i missed half then just fed it prime meat took about 30 min

People really aren’t being precise with their location, they aren’t as high up as people say they are. Wander around the map, it should be flying about 30 ft above the tree line. If not then look up and around which you should be doing already lol.

On rag, use a griffin and tranq darts... you can shoot from the back of the griffin while flying.... Just watch where the Quetzal lands and be prepared to kill the wild dinos round it when it does fall, like so people can see.

These things are a pain to tame, if you don’t get enough headshots on high leveled ones or don’t have a quick Tapejara or Argentavis then you can let that 135 quetz run away to sweet home Alabama. This is personal experience because I just tamed a 135 quetz, took me more than 20 tries using save states on mobile. Worth it tho, came as a level 202 with monsterous stats

Can u use a rare flower to get it to follow u or will it run away

This solo knock out strategy is better than the grapple hook ones. So, all you need is:

-A Tapejara with a saddle

-Crossbow or Gun with tranq arrows/darts

-And of course taming food

-Just in case, bring some parachutes

So, after locating your Quetz, board the front seat of the Tapejara (passenger) and whistle 'attack this target' on the Quetzal. If it's too far, whistle attack on other creatures until it's airborne. When it is, whistle "move here" in the air, so you can follow the Quetzal without harming it. While you chase it you can tranq it down with AIMING! And you can control your Tapejara easily. Boom.

*Make sure the Quetzal lands somewhere safe
