I’ve had most my luck finding them at red obelisk, actually only place I’ve found them,so far I’ve found four of them there,one one time then when I go back after I tame it to look around another has spawn there,and before I tamed one I found two low level ones at the same time.i tamed them using raw meat on a griffin. Using longneck rifle with tranq darts,I had good luck because the Quetzel got knocked out right next to my base.well bye and good luck!

Once I was looking for a uni, then I did the tidy save. I went to red ob and found a really low lvl. Didn't kill it as I was going to tame it. Got my tranq darts and it vanished. Went looking again, found one on argy mountain. Found another near the green ob and when I was still a noob I found one that was actually LANDED in the green ob area. There is a glitch that can have a quetzle land without it being tamed. And I know it was wild because I was playing single player.

I play on ark mobile and recently tamed up a Tapejara. You can switch seats while flying on mobile, so I used this strategy to ko the quetzal I wanted. I activated the Pursuit Tame: Quetzal, cooked up 30 Rex kibble and grabbed 200 narcotics to be safe, grabbed my ascendant longneck with tranq darts and hopped on my Tapejara that I have named Baby Quetzal. Once I found the Quetz, I put the Tapejara on follow so it didn’t land, switched to the front seat, whistled attack target on the Quetz and started shooting. In 5 shots she was down and I just took control of my Tapejara, landed, let it starve out and then shoved the kibble down its throat. The pursuit gives your tame enough exp for 40 levels. I promptly took him home and named him Daddy Tapejara. Happy taming for the mobile players like me😁

They are generally right outside snow biome for me

I found multiple quatzuls but I didn’t have a tapejara. I had my tapejara once and knocked one out but a saber killed it. Bring a tapajara to tame it’s super easy just don’t be dum.

They can be found on the tundra above Viking bay on Ragnarok

On Lost Island, I found a few on the border of the Red woods and the Snowy Biome

The last time I tried to get quetzal I accidentally deleted my ark survival evolved then I had to redownload it then well I lost all my work and my question Rex's and literally everything around if you have a phone tablet or computer that you're playing ark survival evolved on make sure to lock it to your brother doesn't get into it

I have seen one by the red obelisk was quite hard to tame kept going over the water and swamp (I leave near red obelisk just tamed one believe it's hard to tame one I used argy).

I found a quetzal near the snowy waterfall. It spawned before my eyes.

On the center quetzels spawn at blue and red obelisks, they also spawn in jungle mid

These guys pretty much spawn anywhere on the map except the artic and I think redwoods. They are almost always high up in the sky so you can't shoot it from the ground maybe if you can shoot it with a chain bola if lucky but your gonna have to get a flyer if you want to kill or tame a queaztal

I've seen a couple max levels around the alpha plains on the island
