Get a friend , and some tranqs and a tapejara get your friend to fly and u shoot

Don't follow this. Said I needed 9 kib for a lvl 12. I brought 14 and still needed 2 more. The starve tamer is wrong as well.

I've noticed 2 spawn locations. One spawns above the forest, just below the eastern shore swamp entrance, and the other spawns around the center of the redwood forest. Look high, or wait a few if one doesn't show up immediately.

The amount of tranq arrows are listed wrong. Used well over 400. Actually killed the150 will tranq arrows. Lol

Quetzals are a great! They can carry heavy weight and transport it fast and safe! Not to mention it's health is great for storming bases in raids.

I would like to say that since I've seen several people saying that quetz traps don't work anymore as of about 6 hours ago I successfully tamed a level 90 quetz using a trapper.

Was easier than baking a cake.

Took less time too with raw mutton.

Mutton does seem overly OP tames faster than kibble and at most your only losing a single level or two....

Finding it was the hard part....

Build a trap on another quetz or if u can't do that tame a Argo and frappe to it then wistle for it to attack it once it gets close enough for u whistle stop and shoot it and repeat

Been catching these beasts for days... I built a custom catching box on top of my current quetz and added a fridge and generator and throw a shit ton of prime into it then just go off hunting

I recently tamed one on Xbox riding a tapejaras front seat as I shot commanded the tap to follow the wild quetz. Lined up a few shock darts and it went down easy. Solid way to solo tame a lower level.

Quetzals are one of the most useful dinos in ark. But when trying to tame one dont lead it through the redwood, me and my buddy were taming one and it flew through there. Long story short we got ambushed by a thyla and we lost all our taming gear and a high level argentavis

If your friend is carrying you be careful not to shoot the Argy me and my friend lost full MC flak

Grapple hook onto your buddys pteranodon and follow it around. Leave yourself enough slack as not to shoot your friends bird, and tranq it up. Bonus points if you can steer it into a wall or pillar so it gets stuck.

Dont get ur quetz killed when its sitting in ur pen 10 pillars off the ground with 17 rexes on neutral next to it if ur doing the quetz trap

If u find an egg pick it up the quetzals will come to u, note , have a ballista

These things are extremely hard to tame. A buddy of mine and I took to the skies and unloaded on it ( I held him with a pteredon while he shoot it with tranq darts.) We nailed about 50 tranqs into him, and repeadtly got him to the point of running away, but we could never knock him out.
