There big so they look slow but in all honesty they are faster than a average petradon

Hop on a tapejara front passenger seat get it to attack the quetz and tranq it try and use tranq darts instead of arrows when the tapejara gets to point blank range set it to passive and continue tranqing it will flee towards the redwoods and black sands area so have about 15 wooden spike walls and or a cryopodded decent carnivore ( thyla rex spino allosaurs etc )

Just give it some prime meat or it’s kibble have some narcotics just in case and you just need to wait and by god kill all the carnivores nearby and watch out or your taming effectiveness is ruined

With taming at 0.1 and level 9999, this dude takes 1086 hours, which translates to 45 days.

From my experience there are sometimes 2 on the Ragnarok map. They can be found around the beaver dams at redwoods and below the castle. As well as the snowy areas near those locations They also find their way into the scar rarely. If you are having trouble finding one they might be stuck on obstacles especially in the snow above the scar and trees and rocks in the redwoods.

They usually are found in the city on high parts.

If you are on mobile and are having a hard time taming this, just kill it, build a revival platform with a bunch of roofs over it and revive it, it won’t be able to escape if you use pillars to support the roofs, it’s to big.

Get a snow owl and try to freeze the Quetzal on its back when you think it's in a safe area. It will fall and even walk for a bit. Try to surround or cover it with dinosaur gateways and it will get stuck.

This isn’t a how to tame, but rare flowers in ark ultimate survivor edition don’t agro tek wuetzals. I tried it three times and it didn’t care. Also when you attack quetzals they go to the redwoods. I attacked it trying to get it to land or go to a safe spot but it would keep going to the red woods. For those who don’t understand why or this pattern, it is called 50\50 flight. 50/50 are coordinates in the red woods that for some bug this creature has a high probability to go to this location when attacked.

Se vocês tiverem com dúvida de se é facil ou não, eu recomendo que vocês ou usem uma tapejara se tiver um amigo ou usa o método da argentavis e o gancho, se o quetzal for level 74, levem 100 flechas sedativas, se for level 150, levem entre 200 a 250, e sobre narcótico recomendo levar uns 200, por própria experiência minha, boa sorte

For guys who play Ark Mobile, I would recommend to Follow these 3 step:

1-Get the supplies: Toxicant arrows(10-30) and extra tranquilizer darts(30-50), Rex Kibble(5-10) and Prime Cooked Meat(60-100), Narcotics(100-400), and weapons for defense.

2-Tame a Tapejara, it is the most important thing you Will need. Not so high level, Maybe 80-100…

3-Switch between the saddle places and use your Crossbow of Rifle to tranquilize the beast. To Follow it on the air, mark it as a target, the n your tapejara Will Follow it and try to attack. Be careful, don’t lose your creature

Quetz+(harpoon gun+net projectile)= PROFIT

The sinomacrops meathod seem easiest, except for quetz trap. Tame sino and ptera fly around to find on ptera, glide and shoot with sino. Once down build spike walls around him to protect from compys. Obtain and feed mutton in timely manner.

Just know while breeding them put them on passive or else they will fly away and get eaten by a giga

A way I’ve done it on mobile is jump off my flying tame and parachute down and grapple it then just KO it

U can freeze it with a snow owl and on the ground trap it with gates

Everone is saying to grappe the argy but why not grapple the quetx and put the argy on follow and pring a parachute so you don't die when it gets knocked (I haven't realy tested this but it should work pretty well).

Just shoot it out the sky with a harpoon net simple
