When tamed, you can easily make a saddle for it. Just go hunting for Carbonemys or Trike with 2 Raptors and you'll get all that keratin in no time 😀😀😀

Wow. Just wow. You can use them to take you far away and flying on their backs... It is like my darling level 7 purple and peach male is flying and I am flying behind him. I love him so much.. He came to while eating fish meat and flew off but then today I logged on and checked my tame list and he was tame!

Be sure to have plenty of stamina BEFORE you fly over a swamp. Not only do the TItanoboas have poison, but they can climb virtually vertical surfaces. I just lost my lvl 60 to them hoes.

To do barrel roll on mobile you have to go to settings. Go to controls, on the left or right multitap things change it to Relaod/Alt Attack 2. Then tap with two fingers on whatever side you chose. To pick something up (dodo, lystros, mesopithicus, kairukus, and a few more) swipe up on the left side when close to the creature.

I tamed one not too long ago, I could not think of a name so I didn't name him. I took him flying and I didn't realize that he was almost out of stamina and he ran out. He started landing, I tried to stop him but there was nothing I could do. He ended up landing in front of a Therizonosaur (or however you spell it lol), a Baryonyx, and a Spino. He put up a good fight and made time for me to escape. He will forever be honered.

This is the best early game Dino you can get. But you need to get an arge so that you can pick more things up.

They don’t stop flying they only land when they have no stamina so you can’t fly on them with no stamina

Do not leave the game flying on it, when you connect again you will fall and die, upwote so noobs know

Is good for farming metal and crystals so also lvl weight up and stamina so you can make it a good farming flyer

The barrel roll does by far the most damage. I've killed several high level alpha rexes with careful flying on a level 41 ptera.

I have killed many of the rex, spino, allo, sarco and many more with this guys if you can get a good level than try to tame it so you can become invincible I was having a 200 level PERERADON and killed everyone on the island (on mobile)

Big thanks to the person who posted the comment about using the spyglass while rolling. I take back my earlier comment about not recommending it as a way to kill gigas. In the past two days, without any backup or imprint, Shadowbeak has become my most valued tame with his score of 1 giga, 1 alpha Rex, countless rexes, brontos and paracers and a titanosaur. (Yes, titanosaur, which was easier and more relaxing than the giga kill.) Boosting his level from 209 to 240. Far more impressive than the spinos or the one mosa I've been keeping. Seriously, with this feature the pteranodon is definitely the hardest hitter on the island, if not the other maps.

Their dismount is slightly glitchy, once mine dropped me straight into the jaws of a 125 rex. Anywho, you can swim the gap between herbivore island and the island if it does drop yah, Carno island, I’m not sure yet. But if one drops yah near a big old wild rexio or spino, my advice, RUN AWAY AND DON’T TURN AROUND!

The usual starting flier. Their spin attack can easily clean out swarms of meganeura and titanomyrma. You can also use it and other fliers to lure away imminent dangers you're not prepared to take on from your home by aggroing it and flying away. Later on switch to argy since it can travel longer and carry a wider variety of animals.

The pteranodon using barrel roll while using a spyglass is a great tip as it insta kills any creature. But this works for every creature. I have killed an alpha carno using a rex in 10 sec with this trick. Just attack then quickly use the spyglass. But be careful when using this trick because sometimes the creature can also deal more damage when ur using the spyglass!
