Hi! This tip is about stealing wyvern eggs ( not ice) with a ptera. First you are going to level up stamina to at least 1000 or at least 700 if you upgrade speed to 190%. Upgrading speed is recommended but not necessary. Either go to the trench naked, or wear cloth armor. The next part is actually getting the egg. You should first try to locate a nest with no nearby wyverns but if you cannot find one find a nest near just a few wyverns and agro then lure them away. If you fly through a diplo or bronto’s legs you will loose agro. Finally, make sure you have inventory weight for 50 units and then land next to the egg. Recharge stamina fully, grab the egg, and get out of there. If you get lighting attacked go to the side then barrel roll straight, if fire attack barrel roll diagonal away from it, if poison, just go to the side.

This guy is an absolute unit to fight other dinos and travel, don't underestimate

The easiest to obtain; and best, for stealing wyvern eggs. Get about 1400 stamina into a pteranodon, steal wyvern egg, and then barrel role away. They can easily outrun a wyvern this way.

I suggest taming a lvl 120 cuz they are really op and when tamed they are lvl 180 and they can carry decent weight and 1k stamina I tamed one and I named her Aurora and we killed 4 brontos and two spino together and tamed a lvl 95 therizino and she was the best *she's still alive btw

If you are out of stamina, you should land on a tall rock so predators do NOT attack you while your filling stamina! (This goes for argys also)!

Upgrade their stamina and weight a LOT. This flyer is worth it, upgrade his health and melee dmg enough and it can take out raptors on its own (my lvl24 pteranodon killed a lvl20 raptor and succeeded with half of his HP). These lovely birds are easily encumbered by the weight you're carrying so it's preferent if you use lighter armor and leave a few items in the storage so that it's not slow.

These are great for traveling long distances in but make sure you level up their weight to 300 so they can easily carry you. Some lower level ones can't carry a person with any armour.

Pteranodons and other creatures can carry according to the poop size , pteranodons can carry small sized poop

To barrel role on Switch is to just push down (like a button) on the right joystick.

Use a Pteranodon in the Wyvern cave in rag to get Wyvern eggs. Pteranodons are fast and if you put enough points on health, you’ll be able to survive at least one blast from a Wyvern. Just remember that you can’t unlock the saddle until level 38!

Essential early game tame, but they're extremely squishy and years of nerfs have curbed their usefulness. I normally only deploy pteranadons in emergencies, to quickly retrieve a body and/or tame. They have their pvp applications too of course, but the pteranadon is largely just an early stepping stone on your way to bigger and better fliers. Set your sights for the argentavis next.

If you want to get Xp on these it can trap anything smaller than a moschops in between its wings when it is on the ground. Moshchops give a lot of Xp for how easy they are to kill. Happy leveling!

How to level UP pteros faster and Farm prime meat in The process tô tame more!!!

First, find some brontos and a safe high spot close tô recovery stamina.

Then, fly over The brontos neck or Head and start attacking útil he dies. Simple. Fast. Non dangerous. He wont even agro on you because he wont see you. Just remember tô keep high and watch out your stamina. 10 levels in 5 minutes! (If you kill high level brontos, maybe 15-20 levels in 5 minutes.) UP This só more people can level UP their pteros super fast!!! Help This get tô more people!!!

If one were to tame a low level pteradon, it should be put to use as a travel bird, nothing more, for it is too weak for anything else. However. High level pteradons are excellent for fighting, kibble tamed 100+ can be used to kill alphas, in packs, or alone in niche cases.

When using the barrel roll watch the pteradons torpidity it could go unconscious mid flight

Starfall (my pt) max level tame

He can’t carry anything (all pts suck at carrying)

He does tons of dmg

He has lots of stamina

Doesn’t have ton of health but his speed and agility always saves him (and me, I am worst ark player ever)

Overall these things are great as first flyer

I feel like the saddle should be unlocked earlier, like level 20 or 25. 38 just seams to much cuz they are soooo easy to tame.

They are fast for flying across long distances, and not getting attacked or killed. although, they are horrible for carrying lots of materials, over a long distance, if you need to do that, get an argy.

Only tame high levels, try for level 130+ and breed them. Get the best stats into a baby’s, male and female, keep that as your breeding pair. Then either go for mutations OR just get your baby and imprint. Push weight until it can carry your normal standing weight (you with armour and gear) then push stamina. I got an ascended saddle with like 170 armour for mine so I don’t push health but that’s me.
