Hi! This tip is about stealing wyvern eggs ( not ice) with a ptera. First you are going to level up stamina to at least 1000 or at least 700 if you upgrade speed to 190%. Upgrading speed is recommended but not necessary. Either go to the trench naked, or wear cloth armor. The next part is actually getting the egg. You should first try to locate a nest with no nearby wyverns but if you cannot find one find a nest near just a few wyverns and agro then lure them away. If you fly through a diplo or brontoβs legs you will loose agro. Finally, make sure you have inventory weight for 50 units and then land next to the egg. Recharge stamina fully, grab the egg, and get out of there. If you get lighting attacked go to the side then barrel roll straight, if fire attack barrel roll diagonal away from it, if poison, just go to the side.
More Pteranodon Utility Tips
Especially for newer players. Make sure you keep an eye on the stamina bar. You don't want it to run out while airborn. I've lost a bird or 5 to that alone.
Pteranodons can collect bio toxin from cnidarias. Like it up to make it known.
How to do barrel roll on mobile: Go to settings and then go to controls then either go to left multi tap or right multi tap. Then select Reload/Alt attack2. When you are done, go and press on your screen twice on either left or ritght side. And you pteranodon can now do a barrel roll! Disclaimer:wastes stamina alot so be careful. Like so newbies see this!
Use the barrel roll attack and it harvest meat prime meat and mutton really well.

Donβt fly to high if it runs out of stamina you have 7 seconds to land or your pterdon will fall asleep and you will take massive damage
I didn't realize for a Looooooooooong time how useful the barrel roll is. Seriously, I've killed alpha rexes with it. Give it a shot!
If you play on mobile and want to do the roll then go to settings left or right multi tap and chose alt attack 2 !!!
NOW FOR THE MAIN PART--- THESE THINGS CAN KILL GIGAS the normal roll does decent damage but if you roll and attack a dino while watching the dino through spyglass you can deal tons of damage (this works in mobile idk about other platforms) i killed tons of rexes,brontos,allos..etc. using this trick

Argy is rated higher for gathering prime but these things spin attack will get much more prime than an argy

My Pteranodon, Shan. Absolute legend. True trooper. Top dog. Killed level 139 Spino on his own. Only level 92. Killed 20 Therizinos. 5 Carnos, 19 Direbears. 31 Raptors, 2 griffins and one Argentavis including a Megalodon that poked its tail up. Can fly from East to west without landing for stamina once. Wiped out a whole crew of boas with 5 barrel rolls. Rescued my Dilophosaurs more than twice. Very useful Pteranodon.
