This is an easy tame to get, spawn in the highlands, tame a equus, bola a pteranodon and kick it in the face until it knocks out.

Start a dodo farm and grow rockcarrot to make kibble it takes time but is worth it completely go for high lvl as low levels aren't really worth it

With a adecent bow and tranq arrows one hit knockout

Go to RAG and tame an equus, then search for a high lvl pteranodon, bola it, then knock it out with equus. While the PT is starving out go find a Ovis and get some mutton. I tame lvl 140-150 PT every time within 20-30min. Its a great run, you can also do the same technique on Valuegro. just spawn near the FARM grab some rockarrots and tame a equus. there are TONS of PTs on Valuegro.

I knocked out my bird with only 1 trank arrow then I also tamed him with no narcotic I used dodo kibble (I'm still level 37 send help)I'm also sad because I'm in legit the eye of the storm .the only way to explore and get better tames in to fly out .Barry's are starting to spawn in my water so I cant even get out using a raft. a theri even spawned in the back on my island so I'm terrified of going back there where ALL the wood is! I'm saying this cuz Ark doesn't wanna give you the advantage of the sky Level up stamp and watch the weight.I also recommend to bola it before you to to snipe it mid-air.Their barrel roll attack can be used to get prime meat pretty well.(I know cuz on my other server I have a flyable one.)Please up-Vote!🦖💕

Pteranodon Taming Guide for beginners! Or if you are just bad a ark!

1st, Bola it.

2nd, hit the Pteranodon in the face with a wooden club, but make sure to space out the club hits so you don't hit the Pteranodon when it is already unconscious.

3rd, place narcoberry's in the Pteranodon's inventory, if you don't know, narcoberrys keeps creatures asleep just like narcotics do.

4th, place meat in the Pteranodon's inventory, the Pteranodon will tane faster if you use raw prime meat or mutton, but regular raw meat will work too.

5th and final step, just wait, and force feed narcoberrys when the Pteranodon's torpidity gets low.

This is for new players of the ARK, 1 make a bola, 2 make a new club, 3 get meat, prime meat, fish meat or prime fish meat 4 find a pteranodon that you like, 5 throw a bola at it, 6 hit it lots of times with the club (I recoded hitting it in the head), keep hitting it until it is knocked out, 7 feed it the food from step 3, 8 wait for the pteranodon to be tamed (make sure Dino hunger is on and make sure to keep its torpidity up without killing it), 9 once tamed get to level 38 and craft a pteranodon saddle and equip it to the pteranodon then fly away also check your wait because they are bad at holding heavy stuff. I used a Bola two trannq arrows and some bio toxin ez tame getting levels to craft saddle wil, use it to get tames easily used like 10 biotoxin

U know u only need meat to tame these things and a bola or just kick it with an equuas and knock it out, they're not that hard

I would recommend that you use bio toxin if ur on mobile u get it from the jelly fish with are semi-essay to kill if u have a bow it give 60 torpor i believe and it also doesn’t hurt them idkw it’s way better than making narcotics(ps if u want to tame a high level or low level let them start saves some time)

If it’s a low level (I did this to a five) if u headshot with a crossbow and tranq arrow you can instantly knockout one then it’s all just feeding

I tamed a level 20 or so and it has gone through hell and back

Ok if u want to tame his pteranodon you will need 1 dodo egg kibble and 1 bola

Bola it and punch it unconscious put dodo egg kibble and wait u will have it right away

Bola and knock out with club(2-3 hits) or use a tranq dart (only one knocks it out) and I would recommend using prime meat (this works on ps4) because it’s so much faster

Hitting the sail of a pteranodon can instantly knock it out if it is level 80 or below

Try to throw a bola at the Pteranodon before try to shot him.

In Old Ark Mobile, to tame a ptera fast is by completing the "Hunt Dilophosaur" pursuit. When you get the ascended bow, make atleast 10 of tranq arrows. After that, complete the "Hunt Megapiranha" pursuit to get Soothing Balm, which is useful to make taming 10 times faster. After that, you want to search for a high level pt, (atleast above 100 lvl) and shoot it unconcious. Use the balm and kill some Stego or dinos that gives you Prime meat when harvested. Place the meat in your ptera, and it will be tamed!

This process took about 10 minutes, and it took about 3-5 minutes on a 250 lvl ptera (because i have tamed it)

The pteranodon utility is just it's speed, which if you ask me, i will rank it A tier for that because you can fly faster than most of the creatures! You can also get from herbivore island to carno island very fast! (Very fast if tou tame a very high level one, atleast above 250)

It could also pick up small creatures and players! Making it one of the greatest early PVP flyer.

You want to craft dodo kibble for this guy it only takes one of them kibble clumps and you simple bola your pteranodon put the kibble in his inventory and boom you got yourself a pteranodon map sure you bring one or two narcotics and don't eat them like I did

so i tamed my first two of them and breeded them and hatched the egg i got triplets sadly one died so there was only two left one became mine and the other my boyfriends and now i have four my highest level is 37

1. Find a pteranodon with good stats and leveling or just one you desire

2. Bola said pteranodon

3. Force feed it tranq arrows (not actually just shoot it)

4. Feed whatever taming food you want

5. Name it then craft a saddle (if you are on valguero I’m sorry)

6. Enjoy your pteranodon and level it up!
