2.get a wooden club

3.throw the bola at it wene cant move get closer

4.hit it in the face until nocked out then

5.put food to tame

If you want to tame this pt just get meat and narcotic or soothing balm have fun with your pt

Step 1: craft a bola (2-5) and narcotics (20-30)(depends on level). Bring raw meat (kibble, raw prime meat, and mutton are best for taming).

Step 2: find a Pteranodon

Step 3: throw the bola

Step 4: knock it out with slingshot or fists (tranq arrows, toxicant arrow, and darts are best for torpor)

Step 5:put raw meat inside Pteranodons inventory. Maintain its torpor to more than half

Step 6:craft Pteranodon saddle (lvl 38 unlock) and put it on

Step 7: enjoy flying :)

I recommend a way of taming I call sleep taming, you will need a fair amount of narcotics and a sleeping bag, first knock a pteranodon out using bola and tranq or club, then alot of food in it and place your bag down and sleep, then when you wake up put narcotics in your pteranodon to keep it unconscious, then go back to sleep and when you wake up you have a tamed pteranodon(thats how i got my second pteranodon)

Use dodo kibble it is easy to make and the taming effectiveness is so high

My two pteranodons are level 230. They are amazing!! They've always been there for me and have killed multiple argentavis's, 130+ leveled sabertooths, level 100+ scorpions fought three Raptors at once and won. I RECOMMEND THIS TAME. They never let me die and they've never died so far. Simply just bola it and use a crossbow with tranq arrows. They go down easily. If you don't have a crossbow you can use your bare fists or a wooden club.

Use a bola so it won’t fly away

Lower lvl, 5-20 1,4 franks from the crossbow, with a bolla. Down for the count. I found cooking meat, not all at once, but batch by batch, tamed quickly. Kill n cook, the way to a Dino's heartstomach 😂

Breed them a lot they r good my just hatch 270 lvl with 50 mutation on each parent side is a 700 melee right now

Tame some female dodos and make dodo kibble to tame some pteranodons, its very easy

The Torpor goes down really fast so be aware of that. AND KILL EVERY ENEMY otherwise they might kill you're Tame

Bola it then walk behind it and shoot it in the back of the skull, this is the easiest and quickest way I have found so far and it usually takes 1 or 2 tranq arrows

For newer players always get a bola first then punch it till it knocks out then use lots and lots of meat

Make sure not to knock it out over Waters cause then there is no point wait till it's on the ground.

Just throw a bola on them and your will never ever have problems to knock them out again

Definitely one of the best dinosaurs in the game, if you don't have a quatzal or tapejara yet. I recommend having a strong, a quick and a weight carrying pterenadon to help you around. Also useful for parking on rocks to snipe dinosaurs or to attack with it, since it can attack and fly away, and that a lot of times can even kill a rex

Watch out if it is a low level Pterandon amd you have tranq arrows because if you are trying to tame you might kill instead.
