If your taming speed is ser on 6, prime is faster than kibble. Maybe its like that always, I dont know but yeah

Saddles are super expensive. So don't craft saddles,just wait until you are at least higher than lvl 39

My ptera has 500% melee and can 2 hit level 50 mammoths :)

On the island map your going to want to go to herbivore island in the south eastern part of the map I caught a 140 there earlier today and since its herbivore island as long as you don't hit any of the other creatures you won't have to worry about protecting the pteranodon or yourself just make sure to have a bola and you'll be fine

U can find these pretty much anywhere especially on the Center south tropical and dONT be scared because they do not harm u only if they are tamed or steel there eggs

Whatever you do don't go flying around the map with a low level Pteredon thinking you can collect all the drops because eventually I'd did that and soon enough it died

Tame a high lvl pteranodon lvl 80+... You've got ur self a battle machine that can fly. When taming, starve it first. Don't bother building spikes, just focus on the torpor and getting that precious prime

Knock out feed the narco always starve tame and wait for it to wake up then bola it again and put kibble in cause it doesn't lose its food and you get give or take 2 extra levels

I try to tame them with dodo kibble but it won't work.

There needs to be a tame rate modifier

Are great for speed but rg are better fo weight

Spike walls don't protect it use fence foundations to build a three high wall around it or allow will make mince meat out of your tame

When you are trying to get a ptery. Make sure you can be next to the bird for the amount of time it will take to tame. Make sure you have kibble or it will take to long. Then put spike walls around you for safety and bring food for yourself. You should be fine, GOOD LUCK

Awesome early flyer to get with dodo kibble if you start getting veggies from early on. Can be very easy to get.

Bola the pteranodon before you tranq it.

What I found helpful for if your just starting out look for a level 5 and use a bow not a crossbow b/c a crossbow has a slower reload time. And if you have tribe members online ask them to help, but make sure to change the tribe setting and your tribe member could help. If you are playing on solo just start small with a level 5.
