How to tame this Dino

<>after you done that knock it out with fist or wooden club

<>after it is unconscious you give it meat or fish (I recommend giving it a soothing balm to make the taming faster)

<>now you wait

<>after waiting BOOM 🤯 you have a pteranodon

Pteranodon Taming Tip ——— I’d recommend to get one over level 50, but any is fine. All you need is a bola, tranq arrows, slingshot or a club, and then you use whichever tool you have to knock it out, and put food in the inventory. NOTE (If you get one above around 75 sometimes it will take a little while to tame, so you might want to use soothing balm for it.) And boom, now you have a pteranodon!

How to tame pteranodon easy: 1. Craft a toxic arrow 2. Craft a bow 3. Put it on the bow 4. Find a pteranodon 5. Shoot it 6. Tame it with any berry 7. Run out of there quickly cause whatever your pteranodon level is, That doesn’t meant it’s basically invincible. It always could get killed. Especially in easy mode. 8. Test its skills. 9. When you think your pteranodon level is high enough, try battling other dinosaurs! And that’s all the easy steps to taming one! Hope your having a good day! Bye!

I was stealing a pteranodon egg and the pteranodon was not happy at all. He started attacking me and when I dropped the egg, he stopped attacking me. Never take their eggs unless you can deal with them.

Utility Roles for Pteranodon:

First Flyer. The skies of Ark aren't as deadly as the ocean, but anything that flies offers a quick way to traverse areas that may kill you. Trust me, I've skipped an entire section of swampland with this thing. Plus, fliers offer a quick getaway from anything you think you can't take on. Just be sure not to land near a pack of Raptors. (level Stamina and Weight)

Alpha Slayer. Alphas have a really hard time touching aerial creatures, but Pteras are by far the best choice because they are the most nimble. Get at least five of them with a mate boost and you can pretty swiftly deal with alphas. (level Health, Melee Damage, and a little Stamina)

Scout/ Backup Flier. Pteras are small, nimble, and fairly strong. If you are on an Argy and you die, simply hop on the back of your Ptera to retrieve your Argy! (be sure to fly back with the Argy, it's slower than the Pteranodon) (level Weight, Stamina)

Pretty easy to tame. When it lands, bola it, then tranq arrow/club it in the head. Some raw meat. You might need a few narcotics though.

Go to herbivore Island on the Island and find a high level. Kill a brontosaurus and get prime meat and use it to tame. Don’t forget to get biotoxin or narcotics.

Hey those guys are awesome. I have 3 (and i just hatched another) and i make metal runs. They can take în total of 650 ore. I dont have an argy to be more efficient yet. But im lvl 54 and i will get one soon.

Pteranodons are a good tame if u are over level 10. Just bola it, Knock it out with a club, and feed it meat

TAME IT!

These guys are super easy to tame just bola it when it’s on the ground knock it out in any way u want (just don’t kill it) feed it meat ,preferably prime, and boom u have one.

Also u don’t have to keep it u could just tame it to get a better flyer or to sacrifice for ur life.

Oh and there saddle is at level 38 so just grind and get explorer notes.

If your gonna level him up like this n health or stam do it off of him because their bar get shot up as soon as you level them up

When taming, bola it. It'll help. A lot.

Make sure you get a parachute, so if you press the wrong button, you don't die and lose your new pet to the wild!

Upon Encounter, It's Best To Wait Until The Pteranodon Is Landed, If Not Already Landed, When Target Is Landed Throw A Bola From Very Close Range Directly At The Pteranodons Feet, Then Use Tranq Darts On Its Head (3-5 For High Levels). If Using Kibble, It's Best To Let The Hunger Go A Tad Below Below Half Then Insert The Kibble and It Should Tame Out Within 1 minute Upon Kibble Insertion With Extra Bonus Levels.

If you just got to lvl 38, tame a low level pt or the first one you find. Get some bola’s like 8-10 incase any predators come to hunt you or eat you’re knocked tame. Feed it some meat. Use this Pt to look for a higher level pt(250-300) depends on you’re server settings.

If he's your first flier and you end up with an Argy or something else, don't give up on your boy the Ptera. He can serve as a good scout, because he is faster than the Argy, allowing you to make a much quicker getaway (level Stamina, like A LOT)

These things are OP they can demolish a giga just get a good mutation and try to uplevel the health , movement speed, and melee. It worked for me so try it and tell me how badly you fail or win

Everyone here is saying it’s an easy tame- it’s not. Well, for noobs it isn’t. And noobs are the people taming this. So here’s some handy steps for noobs by a noob.

1.) kill a jelly for its toxin. Sounds hard, but it’s easy with a few spears and one near the coast.

2.) craft a bola. The pter will run and you can not catch it. Bola it and smack it with a club.

3.) get as much freakin meat as you can.

4.) protect it. They take forever in noob-time, so I suggest having food and weapons on ya when you take it down so you can stick by it and protect it.
